@ky The Canadian company is majority owned (69.6%) by ExxonMobil. Moreover, strategic management decisions are made in Houston. ExxonMobil and US institutional investors make up an even larger majority. Imperial needs a reality check. Many senior managers are overpaid and under worked and defer decision making to Houston.
Nothing like the idea of a Canadian company capitulating to an American company at a time when they should be securing Canadian energy, not allowing the MAGA Knuckle-draggers to ensure their future on the backs of Canadians. We’ve seen how well that goes for Canada….
I doubt it but I am sure that the leadership would do it if there is enough $$$ reasons for them
