My line manager was laid off today with some others. I am in CDM in the USA

More reductions in Q3/Q4 for EMEA. CRG FSP services also seem to be hit but no information on how many. PVG and study delivery.
My wife was let go from the PVG area along with, I believe, the whole team. Offshoring to IND. SIx weeks severance, not yet received.

@OP I was laid off in CRG. I will be replaced with non-US workers. There are very few US members on the team.
One of our oldest standing Country Approval Specialist for the US team was let go on Thursday, 3JUL, right before the holiday. I dont know if the new quarter means budget cuts = means layoffs.
@ae do you feel they will continue to make cuts to US employees in CRG over the summer ?
@kw the manager and senior manager I noted were in that age range as well.
@b7 if this is the case I would think that is a blatant case of age discrimination. If that could be proven TFS could be sued by those in that age range.
A senior manager and manager were let go from GIS IT team.
RCRA here- let go today- was fully allocated and a lead. I was actually never an rCRA and went through training and never placed in the role. Always worked as RSM but bc I have the title I was grouped with all of them
About 20-30 country approval specialist from the study start-up team also got laid off. Not sure how they choose those people. Probably random
I can confirm this is happening. On a call with an Area Lead yesterday, about 25 people were informed they would be laid off due to lack of business need. Mostly consisting of rCRAs. They are being given 4 weeks severance.
I have seen some whispers across the webs - people saying that those laid off will not be rehired for other positions in the company. Some mentions of people included are in the higher age group 45-63 I believe I read. A quick search of the web I have seen postings for available job positions matching that of some that were let go.
@aq I know of at least 5 CDM PMs, and 4 line managers. I'm sure the actual number is much bigger.
Several people in CRG data management, CDMPMs and line managers. We don't know the damage yet, but I do know it was across all pods in data management.

In CDM, an Associate Director and a CDM PM (billable) were also laid off today. Looks like those affected have already been notified.
I was let go today. I am an rCRA in the US. Fully allocated so was billing all hours to sponsors. Given 2 weeks notice and a severance package I have yet to receive.
If you are in the US, you are not safe at all. You are way too expensive. Good luck with your CDTL life!
