Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Todays’ workforce

Is it just me, or are all of the 40 to 50+ year old associates (long term workers) out working the kids?! Don’t get me wrong, I’m in the 30’s. So I don’t have their work ethic to such a high degree! But, at least I have one. I try, typically enjoy a job well done and actually fully completed. But jeesh! The new hires now!!!! Over paid, under trained and pretty entitled. I KNOW that this doesn’t apply to all, but far too many that I have seen lately. Please tell me I’m wrong.

Agree! Everything is too hard for them . They want to drive a lift right away thinking they can stock from a lift instead of moving stuff with a pallet Jack . One guy told our TMA lead he didn’t like working more than 2 days in a row, it’s too hard on him, so he opted for part time instead of the full time he was offered… he is 19. Apparently he told his parents after his interview that he was going to be full time and when he ended up being part time his dad came in asking the lead why he only got part time, the dad was mad after he was told the son didn’t want the full time cause working more than 2 days in a row was just too hard

They will get two fragile, safe space seeking, useless pukes for every actual worker they run out of the building because they make too much. Good luck.

Ditto @kvm A totally different generation and mindset. When the parents are out of the picture for good. I hope these people can survive on their own.

You would be correct. I've gone through applications before the handoff to the other place took control. Some of these people in their early 20's are already on their 10th job or more. The future is not so bright or clear
