Has it gone nationwide yet or still in trial period? Here in one of the testing markets, I don’t see too many of them. I install one from time to time but I see lots of cx say they are returning it.
In case your cx doesn’t know:
- They are paying to own it. 90 day coverage.
- 90 day cloud storage apparently.
- It still comes with a DTV power cord since it’s just rebranded Dtv now.
- 8mb required per box. At&T will still try to sell the product even if Cx is not getting the required speed e.g. basic/pro/express per the PowerPoint presentation.
- Hardwire is always the best option despite the company wanting everything wireless. It generally resolved the slight stuttering.
- Price hike after contract up.
- Picture is more or less akin to Uverse. DTV still has the better picture.
@kok+13qrjqv9 - yeah what does the EG group do anyway. they seem pretty useless when they bought a streaming app dtv now and cannot even bring it to market competitively. sounds like some more house cleaning will be needed or just sell more employees to IBM or whoever is the latest vendor of choice.
Not only does ATT TV Now bring nothing new to the table, it is ridiculously overpriced. Who's going to pay $60 for one box with the most basic package? Even with a 50% employee discount that would be non-competitive!
My samsung smart TV has pluto tv with dozens of free channels.
Apple TV has been around , what, a decade now ? I’ve been talking to Siri for years to have it play shows for me. Same with google. At&t claims to be the first to offer features like this is blatant false advertising.
The "future of television" is rehashing DIRECTTV NOWs crummy tech stack.
We just got an online class proudly crowing how "AT&T TV NOW IS THE FUTURE OF TELEVISION!!!"
Unfortunately, the competition has had their streaming services for a long time. It may have been the future ten years ago, but today AT&T is late to the table playing catch up once again!
Netflix, Amazon, and Disney should have a joint commercial with The Kinks song playing
Wait for it - Wait for it - Wait for it - lol just wait
