Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

What are you told as the reason you were laid off?

Are those who are recently laid off actually being told it’s because of Sapience hours or is that just an assumption?

I’m also wondering if they can withhold your severance if that’s the reason you are let go.

I also heard from the grapevine that those of us with unlimited vacation are now supposed to log no more than 23 days and will get red flagged if we go over that. I had 33 including well-being time before they moved me to “unlimited” time. I really don’t want to go backwards on that.

I’m counting down the days but severance unemployment figures into that picture so I wanna make sure I don’t blow it.

I was let go on Tuesday, the week prior to Thanksgiving. I specifically asked how I got to bottom of stack ranking list when my annual reviews (for many years) are exceeds expectations. HR response, very rudely, was 'the decision has been made'. Having said that, I do not miss the toxic place that First Data/Fiserv is now and hoping my next job will be so much better. Assuming I can get a job, ageism is rampant!

It is December 2nd and I am still trying to understand what I was told when I was RIF'd.

23 days is a 10 day reduction in compensation if you had 33 prior to the ‘unlimited’ nearly 4%. Or, 30% reduction in vacation. If you’re below the grade and still accrue, rather than unlimited, you max out at 33, so where does that make sense? Appears to be a targeted attack on those with seniority.

23 days is not a lot when you have to take R&R for dental/medical appointments or when you have repairs being done!

Wording on layoff was carefully designed to imply that it’s you and not them without saying it. Basically said that a lot of factors went into the decision, including sapience and badges

They used badge in-out data as one of the metrics of being in the office. The sapscience can say 10hrs working if you worked after hrs from home ,but that does not count.
