  • Useless peakon surveys
  • In office tracking updates 1 a week - why not every day?
  • not one new country on the WFA since implemented
  • no ability to plan your life, where to live, when to take vacation as you are at the mercy of RV’s axe at any time.
  • bring back direct managers ability to decide if in office is necessary like before the pandemic
  • update on location strategy - working in a non growth center su-ks and makes quiet quitting a very tempting for most people.
  • no management at local offices- c suite communication is useless and out of touch

No incentive to go for a higher grade level job with more responsibility as you wont get the salary increase until many months later and its not retroactive.

The EC and senior leadership are morally and ethically bankrupt and their continued behavior has ruined a once proud BNY culture. The issues and concerns raised on this forum are well documented for at least the last two years and yet the same corporate theater plays out as a complete sham. Everyone sees it, calls it out, and yet leadership continues undeterred. #Sickening

Been gone a few years but always hated how we were told to act as owners but then constantly had our schedules interrupted with "management" demanding something ASAP. Couldn't question the cost or anything and couldn't adjust our previous commitments that we made.

@ad

Cool that you got out, and with the added delight of just 2 days' notice?...Chef's kiss!

If something similar should happen in the future though, consider putting together a training module w/ docs for people to refer to, so you only have to explain it to them once, then whenever they bug you later to go into details or explain it again, simply refer them to the module. Do it in writing in an email, "All of the info. is [there], but feel free to follow-up with [their department head] if you need further clarification." I would even go so far as to cc their dept. head when replying to their need for hand-holding, too. Make it clear to the dept. heads that this is their responsibility to handle, not yours.

That way, you have definitive proof (written correspondence) that you:

1) were proactive to create a solution (training module), shared it with everyone (Sharepoint link and email where you let the team/s know where to find it, along with a calendar invite for a meeting where you initially informed them of what changes are necessary, and how to access the info. independently)

2) Trained them sufficiently, but established reasonable parameters, where they wouldn't encroach too much on your time if needing further assistance

3) Provided them with who to contact (their dept. head) if they required more granular specification and/or information

Don't let other people overload, intimidate, or guilt trip you into su-king your time out from under you, or doing their jobs for them.

It doesn't matter if someone is above, below, or on your same level in terms of corporate hierarchy...people need to learn to respect others' time and bandwidth. If others don't respect yours, it's because you're allowing them to run roughshod all over you. Don't tolerate it. Don't just sit there and take it. Be polite and professional about it, but basically tell them to FO!
