This place has constant layoffs and poor management. Coworkers are friendly but that's about the only positive thing. Leadership has no accountability, pay is low, raises are ridiculous no matter how long you stay, and work-life balance is non-existent. A cr-ppy company all around.

Where is it Indians vs. Americans? This whole thread has clearly called out the problem:
Pirates like Robin skirting US labor laws with no consequences. And US politicians looking the other way while roles that can be filled by Americans are outsourced. India is just doing what it does best- ape, mimic, copy and reproduce the technology of others. And for that matter, India as bottom barrel costing as it is, tends to drive other outsourcing firms from other countries out of marketshare. That’s not exactly fair either.

Without the USA’s innovation, drive, intelligence, automation and brainpower, India is in the dark ages. Everything and anything ‘done’ there is simply a copycat society of what was developed in the USA and established European states.

The number of CEOs - Indian heritage - in tech industry is phenomenal. And all these companies are minting, yep minting, money. You and your grandmothers' Medicare is paid by these high earners lest she may have to be on a soup kitchen line.

The truth is painful sometimes but it is the fact Mr./ Ms. Bleeding heart. Without cheap low grade role fill in India, their economy would collapse. And your comparison is wrong, false and flawed. We aren’t talking about Mexicans who are in the US legally or illegally. We aren’t talking about laziness. What we are talking about is the breaking of employer protection laws which companies based in America - like BNY- are supposed to be bound by. So, please bag your jaundiced appeals to equality and equality. BNY certainly does.
@eh Bit of a harsh comment there. As much as you moan about outsourcing to India, this is no different to what the typical American does on their own soil. Just look at certain states where homeowners hire an abundance of Mexican landscapers. They will tolerate the sun for long hours at a low prices whereas an American will complain that it's too hot and/or wage is too low.

It is amazing how a parasitic nation like India is allowed to steal US and UK jobs despite laws in the country to protect workers. Especially American workers in a so called American based country. Without America, India goes back to making rugs and charming snakes. Soon, even India will get the shaft from this dump.

You have to admire how the Indians have used this botched re-organization of P-M to their advantage in the IT area though - absolute massacre on non-Indians.
Are the friendly coworkers in the room with us now? I will admit I did work with some amazing people in Ops but as I leveled up, so did the elitism with the coworkers. My team is insufferable now
Post this in Glassdoor too, we need to post the truth across multiple platforms and make them pay for their actions,negative publicity and talent exodus and new talent reluctant to join will force them to reconsider their atrocious strategy.
@OP Every fault you listed is what eventually made me tell them "take this job and shove it."
Unfortunately, the attraction of money keeps people joining and staying. I see it all the time, peeps all moan but they're still here after 10+ years. No one's forcing them yet here they are.
Most important factor
Unless you are an Indian! H1 or L1 or most importantly a H4 EAD spouse. This is HEAVEN
Cr-p company with cr-ppy leadership.
To add: continuously reduced employee benefits, no advancement opportunities unless you know people higher up.
