Failure is now our culture

Verizon failed us. Leadership failed us. Verizon is failing its customers and stock holders everyday. Verizon rushed 5G home and its being returned left and right (Fail). 5G phones are slower than 4G and we are back to buffering or pauses in downloads like 3G in 2009 again (Fail). Calling customer service offers unacceptable hold times with either children yelling or chickens clucking in the background. But chances are you get transferred around again and again till you give up or the rep on the other end "accidentally " drops the call(Fail). Not enough store staffing offers you minimal last chance redemption or hour plus waits if you want help the same day(Fail). Between telesales, Costco, Best Buy and 3rd party agents you have a 50/50 chance of getting your trade done correctly or even receiving a trade box(Fail). Leaders running the business the same as they did 5+ years ago is a huge Fail. Endless leadership calls that have zero trickle down effect because we can't decide which metrics we want to chase(Fail). SMB is just a big Fail. Retail POS, receipts, PCA process, rep turnover is a Fail. Head man in charge is a failure. He took the cream of wireless industry and made it a joke. Failure is now our culture.

Is it customer service ‘conveniently’ hanging up or purposefully due to ignorant store reps? Whenever you guys call in we see a pop up alerting that a store rep is calling on behalf of a rep. I hang up before ya’ll even say hi, since we know what is coming. Just be honest. ‘Hi I am Joe Bob and I work in store xyz. Listen, this customer I lied to and promised free everything just to make a sale won’t stop hounding me at the store, can you create this impossible quoted price by removing all the features I slammed on this account to hit quote, and issue credits while I play d-mb to the customer and pretend this was a random mistake?’

It starts and stops with your people. Our company will rise or fall based on who we hire and how we treat them. Recruit Kmart people with Kmart pay and expecting them to achieve these high bar results all while rehiring every 6-12 months. Choose to understaff stores by giving them skeleton headcount is insanity. The world has changed and leadership stubbornly refuses to acknowledge their vision doesn't match with reality. Outsourced departments give you the second rate results you would expect. They too have high turnover.
Without a model that allows you to retain good people then we are destined to fail. Experience matters.
Over worked, over tasked and over stressed employees gives you the result you should have expected. When have you ever choosen to go somewhere and work with someone new over someone with years of experience??

Anyone notice less down voting? Verizon must've laid them off too.... for reap everything stated on this thread is 100 percent true. The failing leadership are literally ki----g this company. Can't wait to add the "we added a new fee to your account" spiel as the system is glitching trying to finish processing their upgrade.

So many people walk out of our store daily due to not having enough staff. Not only do we not upgrade that customer but we drive them straight to the competition because we are so hard to do business with.

Hey Verizon. Pay matters just like results. Go cheap and go home. The ship is sinking. Save a dollar lose a hundred. You made cuts and now we are bleeding out. Vteamers are sick of being treated like slaves. You abuse our pay while customer abuse us based on your actions. U suck

The company is trying to go Lean because someone took six sigma way to heart and they also likely don't have any other applicable skills. They have cut too much and now it's going to be like every other failed Verizon investment.

Soo accurate. Its sad when customers come back with their new phone and complain their service is now worse. Literally every day by multiple customers. Then we literally instruct to turn of 5G to make service better. Absolutely disposable.

This is a what happens when leadership is out of touch with reality. We used to have a team that could fix stuff like the printers but they layed them off so that the rich can get richer. Now our basic electronics don't function in an electronics store that charges premium pricing and customers are noticing.

Imagine going to Walmart and they could not provide a receipt for your purchase and they tell you it’s not an error, our system just can’t print receipts. Thanks, Hans.

Our leaders keep recycling the same old garbage ideas that didn't work last year. How about you fix our systems, pay us properly so you can retain good people, increase headcount in all departments so that we can take care of our customer and stop the bleeding.

I can appreciate the time it took for someone to vent these frustrations in a post. Its too bad no one in the leadership of this company gives a flying Fk because they all make way more than they should to sit on pointless calls all day and they all suckle the teet of the person above them with the exception of our ceo who suckles his own Dk. Im embarrassed to tell people where I work. I also recommend to friends and family that they not use our network. I can't even trust this company to provide printers that work properly let alone home internet
