@113 correct ...SVP announced a new VP and then announced a brand new central org that more than doubles the size of the team! JDs of the new positions overlap those of the people let go. This is a move to show TP she can be bold - this new org is built around digitalization and globalization, polen's flavors of the week.

@OP quality was hit this week - at least 2 people that I know.
@113 not all of central ra was wiped out many were .. business ra reporting to central vp is not impacted

@10g what are you talking about? She just announced a new VP! I know seems harsh and I am sad about the job impact but central anything has been useless anyway
@104 just look up the svp of reg affairs… anyone in the org not aligned to a business unit is who may have been impacted

I heard about a big layoff in central Regulatory Affairs today
waters employee here- not to be dramatic but there will likely be layoffs. there will also be a big chunk of training dedicated to indian people under the guise of "getting extra help" who will eventually replace you after you're fired or laid off

@jn Same thing with CFO. We have money to hire 200+ BD excellence bs roles at high job level, but we are not even backfilling CFO role. I think they are trying to get this company ready for sale if I am being honest
@q3 There must be some other agenda we are not seeing. No way any company will hire over 200 people for those types of orgs, when you are already struggling. I think there's something bigger brewing that we dont' know about...yet.
@m6 exactly they hired so many director , Dr director and VP level for the business excellence BS .. stock is tanking yet we have money to hire at that level for a process that is nothing but six sigma.. a huge organization of business excellence people worldwide getting paid a ton of money while the poor folks at the plant are being squeezed to death .. I’m disgusted by the whole thing . We haVE VP level people scheduling training and printing certificates imagine that VP what a joke

@jn you mean Ami’s replacement? Yeh I think that role no longer exists if I’m not mistaken it’s just the people who were under her now. It’s all about sales and quality avoidance .. we say quality is everyone’s job but we don’t mean it .. sad but true
@OP not specifically...but I did hear HR has been asking certain teams if partner orgs are "providing value" so the gutting of support roles may continue. A strong (not necessarily large) RAQA org is critical to supporting commercialization. I still can't believe the SVP role wasn't backfilled...tells me they don't want a compliant organization.
