While SP 500 is up by almost 100% in the 5 years, NKE has gained 0%.
Why is JD paid 32 million dollars?

What does JD even do? What would happen if we just fired him? Besides saving over 100 million a year
Sounds about right. Our leaders can’t lead anything. Why did the board hire a team that knows cost cutting & nothing else?
If you’re hiring an axe you only need them for the layoff. 6 months and gone.
If you keep the axe around for half a decade you’ll find your company cut down to pieces.
“We need your team to be more productive”
“Great! The thing slowing us down is organization structure, if we do this reorg right we’ll be able to do more with less”
“Well. I can give you more contractors in India. We also need to adjust our onshore contracts. But we’ll have more team members after the dust settles.”
“I don’t need MORE people. I need the right people working on the right thing. We’ve shifted priorities every quarter halfway to delivery. Why would I want more people?”
“If we don’t take what we can get now, we might not get the head count when we need it”
If I still cared about my job or the company I’d be very upset right now. At least I know I can get away with doing nothing because no one expects anything to be created anymore.
But at least we increased our Cognizant contract price! More Indians for all...
Another thread of…Nike employees worried about their stock options. They were very happy when stock was up and leadership was causing all the violations under their fav poster boy MP.
@jmq+1sDJddxr A lot of people fail to understand this. Not enough criticism goes to our board. They are equally at fault
JD is still CEO because the Board is negligent is its fiduciary duty.
32 million dollars is a lot of money. Especially for someone that hates the brand & barely uses its products.
Why are we laying off thousands when there’s such a blatant money pit. (And don’t even get me started of the sweetheart vender contracts that have been signed with their buddies)
It is pathetic. 5 years and the stock is basically at a standstill. wtf.
