Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Feeling less than safe

I spent 6 hours about 6 feet away from an anti-vax, anti-mask, long term covid person today who was (despite suffering from long term covid and having trouble walking up stairs) still talking about why people shouldn't get the shot.

Thanks Wells, appreciate that.

I am vaxed and boosted @1euw+1g7Gg3qP but I’ve got children who can’t get it yet and I don’t want to drag it home to them from someone else carrying it.

Not agoraphobia either. I go places and I’m fine with groups of people in my extended bubble, but we all do this. We all make conscious choices and avoid that extra risk and it has worked well. No flu, no Covid, not even a cold amongst any of us, and there’s quite a few.

Rather than living in fear how about agoraphobic then. Either way, doesn't sound like fun.

I'm not anti vax - two shots and a booster. I just think that anyone who is going to get vaxxed already is and to the rest, they just don't seem to care for whatever reason. That having been said, it's time to move on and hope the anti-vaxxers don't meet unpleasant fates.

Two years and we still have to deal with these anti-vax cheeseheads.

This is the same cr-p the anti vax crowd has regurgitated for two years while the pandemic was allowed to keep spreading.

If people were smart, we could have been at this point a year ago. But they would rather play games with public health. Sad!

Who says they live in fear? Being safe and cautious isn’t fearful. It’s smart. I do the same kind of stuff and have much more free time and much greater focus on what is important in life. That’s why I have also not RTO’d and will not.

If he has healthy problems, how is that your problem? If you have the shots, why do you care? You get it or you don't. The shots just lessen the impact.

The Taino were victims of slavery due to colonization. They were a very clean people, along with native Americans. The bacteria and disease the Europeans brought with them -due to worse hygiene- had some effect in thinning their numbers however.

Sounds like a very unhealthily workforce. Probably why our insurance sucks so much and costs $$$.

long covid isn't contagious... by definition. there's no longer an active infection - the person is suffering from after-effects like compromised lung function, brain fog, fatigue, etc as result of being infected.

Uhh, no, it's not. Tell it to the Taino. The bubble sure protected the **** out of them eh? Exposure doesn't mean licking door knobs and maximum exposure to the virus, it means you need to get out / about to get a small amount of exposure that your immune system is capable of adapting to and handling. It's literally impossible to avoid exposure forever, and the longer you put it off the worse the outcome will likely be. But hey, if you want to be a boy in a bubble, go for it, just don't complain once you finally emerge from it that you no longer have an immune system. I'll continue to eat well, exercise, take my vitamins, and expose my system to a low amount of the variant of the week. It's worked great so far and all signs suggest that will continue.

A c*ockmeat sandwich can cause the same symptoms at the office, including coughing, sweating and trouble walking.

To the ignorant people below who don’t get it - we have a choice to avoid those other public places. I wouldn’t be caught dead at a grocery store. I do online ordering and I pick it up. I only do takeout from restaurants. I don’t go to church in person anymore - mine offers an online service instead. I don’t go to theaters or concerts or any public place if I can help it. But I’m being told I have to go in to work. I’m given a small area to sit in unassigned desks, and I have to sit next to people coughing and blowing their noses all day. The CPG guy was coughing so hard he had trouble catching his breath when he was fixing the power outlets in the cube next to mine yesterday. The admin a few rows over is sweating a ton and coughing like crazy too, and she even told people “I swear it’s not COVID, it’s probably just the flu” but her manager made them switch back to desktops so they can’t work from home. At work I don’t have the choice of avoidance.

My father is partially disabled now due to the vax , his doc told him it caused it but he was too scared to put that in the notes or report it. Crazy stuff out there

I think you should just have a nice big c*ockmeat sandwich. Stuff your mouth full.

“You could have been sitting next to the same person in a restaurant”

True, but the chances of transmission in a 8 hour period (typical office stay) is much higher than chances in a 40 minute period (typical restaurant stay)

Ummmm I mean find another job? There’s remote ones out there. get out while you can because they aren’t going to change RTO plans now no matter how many people are vaxxed or not. You better mask up! Good luck

You could be sitting next to a long term covid person in church, a restaurant, waking next to them in a grocery store or anywhere else without knowing it. If you werent happy get up and move your workstation if you are unassigned seating. Or if you're that uncomfortable, you can wear a mask. You, being vaxed, can catch, and/or spread covid with or without knowing it. Stop creating drama and condemning others. I'm sure that person with longterm covid didn't want covid or the longterm affects regardless of their Vax status. How do you know if it that person didn't have an underlying condition that prevented them from getting the vax? Or had religious values that prevented the vax? Or chose, based on his/her research/opinion, the the vax was not right for them. I support the right for people to choose what's right for them. There are plenty of actions you can take if you choose to be paranoid. You have been locked down the last 2 years, it's time to start living again! It's OK to be cautious if that gives you some peace. My best to you!

You could have been sitting next to the same person in a restaurant. They're everywhere so you may as well just move on. It's always going to be a problem. Covid is not going away.

I’m vaxxed, but understand the fact that vaccinated or NOT, you still spread covid if you have it. Stop with the drama already!

So basically, your rights to a safe work environment are non existent, because some non science else's right to non vax is infringement...thx wf.
