February 10 is coming soon!

I think the Earth will go off its axis from the spin coming out of SD

@e2 that's how they did it to me. Random meeting with my manager, and an unexpected guest connecting to the meeting in the beginning : it was HR to tell me I got laid off.

Also, my team has had people leave and we are backfilling. Really depends on location and dept.

I disagree. There will be a mass exodus in march after bonus and RSU payouts.. Lots of pi---d off people due to the cancelling of raises.. People are gonna leave on thier own..

@j2 TD is hiring in US & UK - just different skill sets.

@es

It’s not performance based. It all about the paycheck. TD will continue to cut the high paychecks and move all the work offshore where labor is cheaper.

@e5 what if it's not a layoff? Then
Management did nothing wrong and the culture is fine

@ed this can't be performance based. I have had great performance reviews last few quarters. Let's see what rationale I'm given tomorrow (if it is indeed a layoff discussion meeting).

@ed My performance was great and backed up by reviews. Got laid off anyway. Decided to retire and enjoy life. This is the Layoff it’d so it makes sense for me to be here. You…not so much. But I look forward to you joining us soon.

@e9 May I inquire about how your performance was? That should be a good indicator, if things have slipped it might be the curtain call for you.

@e2 I wish people would realize, when we talk about good management, and good culture, this is another aspect of it. Whats the point of adding a random calendar invite 24 hours from now just to let someone suffer with the unknown. Have the guts to rip the bandaid and just get it over with.

@e2 unfortunately, it is likely. Very sorry if that is the case. Where are you located?

Just got a random meeting invite from my manager for tomorrow. No details provided and no HR copied. Should I consider myself impacted?
