I was wondering if anyone on here has successfully negotiated their severance beyond what was given by Nike. If so how did it go? Did you get more than you would have? Did you enlist an attorney to help? Any insight is appreciated.

This thread is hilarious btw..😂
so many folks in here so confident in their wrongness.. further proof that the Internet can be a horrible place to go for advice.
Of course, the company isn’t going to negotiate with every single person who feels entitled to more, but do you really believe that no one has ever asked for more and got more in the history of the thousands of layoffs that the company has done?
Yes.. I personally know at least 3 people who were able to negotiate specific parts of their severance package that had material impact on their final package.
Find a lawyer to check your logic.. Craft a response and then hit send.
The worst they can say is no.
@j0 layoffs are over.
I have a friend in Nike Legal who told me there is 0% chance an attempt to negotiate severance would work, especially when there are wide spread layoffs happening.
Think about the level of entitlement required to hire an attorney to learn whether you can shake down a company that has already concluded you are dead weight.
Vile, wretched even.
What Nike offers crushes others so you are crazy to even risk it. Run.
Don't be greedy, don't be petty.
Don't waste time on jousting at windmills.
Just take the money and run.
Take it or leave it. Unless you’ve got the law or an employment contract at your back, and even then you’re not negotiating.
