Anyone on here a licensed banker (new title: Relationship Banker)? I’m thinking I might be targeted for the next round of layoffs because all new relationship bankers must obtain their series 7 (I was only required to get my 6).
My job is pretty pointless as is anyways since the model is referral only and we have a Premier Banker at my branch. Just trying to get some insight as I am interviewing for outside jobs but would rather wait to get laid off if I knew it was coming!

Persona bankers would be later off before relationship bankers.
@imm+1bhqkErJ :
In order to sit for the Series 7, the applicant needs to be sponsored by a FI or RIA.
Get the license. Become an FA which are in demand. Lbs dinner make that much therefore strive for the honeypot
OP here- Wells Fargo has to sponsor it if I get my series 7. We are pretty short staffed and I know my manager would never let that happen unfortunately. But I agree, that would make me much more marketable.
To be really marketable obtain your Series 7, 65 and insurance licenses.
Series 6 is limited. With a Series 7 you can do so much more. It's also viewed as more professional and can open many more doors for you.
Series 7 is only $245. Get studying and get the license. If anything it will open more opportunities.
