Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Minimal training

I didn’t have much choice because I didn’t have enough experience to get a better job. I accepted a job here to gain some experience and with no intention of staying long. I was very honest and Fiserv knew they were hiring an inexperienced person. But after the training, which was really minimal, I was asked to work as if I had been here for a long time, as if I knew everything. Terrible company even for those who are just "passing through".

You always have a choice. Do what is best for you -- Fiserv is going to do what is best for them.

The point is to get trained so you can be paid real money at a real company.

I agree with the lack of training but taking a job with no intention of staying? Looks to me like a waste of time for everyone to train you. Please think of your associates as well if your not going to put an effort into they may not have felt you to be worth the investment. Just saying.

Welcome to the new norm. At least you can come into a nice office 5 days a week.
