Restructuring is still happening leaders are defining structures in all areas, tech and ops were told later date but still have not even hit 500... and now to get to 700...

First and second week of January will be Tech layoffs. They wanted to keep all developers through the holidays before kicking 200 of them to the curb and outsourcing their jobs to India and Poland.
Chances are he will be pulling out and reading the same document by June 2021. Economic recovery takes time and the current upheavals will not suddenly disappear. To keep the share holders happy, reorgs and restructuring will continue to be the order of the day. In the meantime the toxic work culture will remain because the same poor people managers are still making the critical decisions. Let’s all brace for landing......
Letter states, "As of January 8, 2021, approximately 700 employees will have been impacted by this permanent reduction of workforce at Nikes WHQ."
This is getting old, they’re making being an employee there a psychological disaster at the moment considering the state of the world and pandemic added to this.
@hst couldn’t have said it better myself. I was embarrassed by JD yesterday in his all hands. He pulled up the same word doc he has been using since day 1. There isn’t anything new to share so is it really worth having these meetings?
Remember 500 and 700 are not exact numbers. I do believe the wording is "AT LEAST."
@grf has it correct. Those impacted last week will stay on the payroll through Jan 8. The 700 number is the count of those already impacted.
The WARN Site says 700 gone by January 8, 2021. This means all 700 have been given the 60 days notice. This means the layoffs in tech will be in addition.
