Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Cancelled my ATT fiber because I RTO now

I RTO 5 days now so I don’t need my ATT fiber anymore that I used to use for WFH. Cancelled and switched to T-Mobile which actually beats the employee discount pricing. I can’t be the only one.

More RTO = less fiber subs; leadership genius

Your line of thinking is like dumping DTV for $12/mo, including Sunday Ticket, because you're "sending a message".

Do you even work here? DTV hasn’t been $12 a month for years since the divestiture.

And no I don’t “game”, you child. Grow up.

"Original poster here. I have no internet now. Just cellular as I mentioned before, “Id—t”. I pay $0. I don’t need it anymore because I work from the office ONLY. I have T-Mobile wireless because it’s cheaper than the T employee discount. You’re a fool."

You don't stream, game, or like websites loading lightning fast?

Do you still use AOL for email?

Good luck with that.

I've done the same. Not going to have AT&T profit a nickel on me while they are actively making me miserable.

“You’re an id--t if you think T-Mobile internet is the same as att fiber. Two different types of internet. Do you even work for AT&T??? Lol…And there is no way you are paying less than $10 for anybody’s fiber.”

If you work for Pepsi and you happen to walk into work with a bottle of Coca Cola in your hand, I know as a fact that you would be fired on the spot! I know of someone that this happened to. So, why do you think this happened? Do you think Pepsi had shown good cause, do you think Pepsi had a good case? You better believe they did!

I hope AT&T does a random audit of its employees to see which services they're subscribing to! And if you're subscribing to a competitor, you're fired on the spot.

Hey genius most of the country including areas near ‘hubs’ can’t get fiber and there is no way in he-l I am downgrading to Internet Air

Shame on you people for not supporting your employer! I don't care how much you disagree with its employment practices or business policies!

9/10 if trolling. If serious you may need to be living in some kind of group home.

"Any ATT employee that subscribes to the competitions services should be fired immediately, no questions asked! "

Then AT&T should be forced to provide service to all locations that employees live. You are a d-mb mass.

You are not only disloyal, you are sophomoric in stature and an embarrassment to your fellow employees! I would not be bragging about that around ATT! You’re simply put, “a disgrace and a traitor!”"

Soldier, your support in securing that salary increase for the C-Suite will be remembered—but now it's time to pack your bags. Your new office is across the country, and the move is on your own dime. You are just a number soldier stop crying!

You should have thought of this when you were teaching us how to be disloyal and sophomoric. The only thing embarrassing is you having to listen to my TMobile phone reboot. “do do DEE dooo”

I think we should coordinate it so every employee in Dallas turns their TMobile phone on sharply at 12 Noon. That would be epic. do do DEE dooo

Wow! Now that is powerful koolaid. Who would have that kind of attitude?

The real issue here:
T mobiles off the street plans are cheaper than our employee discounted plan.

That’s why we’re losing subscribers and currently last and falling. Imagine being a customer paying full retail!

Before and during covid everyone needed fiber at home AND at the office. Now that companies are enforcing RTO 5 days people no longer need fiber at home, or they opt for the lowest speed at lowest cost.

Our 5 day RTO decision does not align with our fiber subscriber and revenue goals. Instead of leaning into WFH and pumping up those numbers the “leadership” decides to do the opposite. Typical.

AT&T fiber is $10 a month for employees. You are crazy to get rid of 5 Gig service for more money and lower speed from any one else.

With RTO everyday now I do all my work at the office so I have no need for anything but cellular at my home. T Mobile pricing beats our employee pricing. You don’t like it? Complain to the “leaders”. For me, in this economy, easy way to cut cost.

I did this too. Cancelled all my services. And told the lady why. The company no longer makes revenue off of me. I would guess the company has lost 30k subscribers just from ticking off the employees. We carry a lot of weight when people want to know where to get service.

Why would you cancel discounted fiber? 5Gig for $10 a month is a nice perk, regardless if everything else su-ks. Either you're not really in an area that is Fiber or you're mistakenly leaving money on the table for a slower speed. Makes no sense, that's the best discount we get.

Isn't fiber $10 a month for the employee rate? You're insane for canceling fiber at that cost.
