Wth? Kleiber indicated his team will be over 100 strong. How does that help get the asset cap lifted and increase shareholder value?

The efficiency ratio is .83 and this is how the execs are spending the shareholder's money...
@1nkh+1a8BwuZS bigot, show your work.
Hiring the best for the job will benefit all. Race/gender/ marginalized groups/ etc should not be placed ahead of anyone. MLK was right all along... we are moving in the opposite direction.
nonono
the correct question to ask is
HOW DOES THIS HELP STONK GO UP
cause thats all that matters now.
Arguably, the Kleber hire makes the Charlie C-suite a bit more diverse – I mean the guy is a native of Brazil. But "diverse" as in "we hired a non-US native as an exec" kind of way – as in SVB from Netherlands.
Who is Kleiber?
Exactly, @xla. If you always hire the best people you'll have a diverse work force. Don't think so? Then you apparently don't think very highly of some group.
@uhy+1a8BwuZS it's known as the bigotry of low expectations. Liberals don't think minorities can be successful without white liberal help.
@hps+1a8BwuZS that's funny, because it means minorities must be "D" or less. Why else would WF put in requirements to hire minorities over white males? If the quality was as good or better, there would be no requirement.
The short answer is it doesn't help, but hey at least they can say Well Fargo is "woke" now.
All these whining basic white males on this thread. Waaaaaahhhhhhh! Y’all are basic. And that is why you are where you are. It’s not because of anyone else but that fact that you’re C- average at best.
@lmi+1a8BwuZS unless he has a crystal ball, that may prove to be slander. WF would be responsible as well, seeing as they gave him the platform to say it as an agent of WF.
@pdd exactly. My favorite line of BS is the 'we want to hire X group so that our employees look like their communities'. First of all, it's a racist policy (forget character, it's all about skin color!) and second, this was never ever used to justify hiring a white guy in a geographic location that happened to have a large majority of white inhabitants–not once. So it's NOT about looking like the community, at all. It's past time that we recognize people as individuals, the true 'minority', and value them as such, not as a demographic check box. I'm a person, not a color.
Moderators also removed the comment Kleiber made stating George Floyd was assassinated.
why was the comment "white heterosexual male need not apply" removed?
Come and get 'em! Thoughts and prayers!!
Get 'em while they're HOT!!!
@yut+1a8BwuZS you do realize that without lifting the asset cap and creating value for shareholders, WF has no value, right? Wf is a bank, not a social experiment. If it evolves into a social experiment and forgets its charter, then it fails.
the thing that it always comes back to is "people will shop where they feel represented". This is pure BS. You treat people like they are important to your success, regardless of s-x, race, religion, etc. If people feel like they matter and they are treated with respect, they will do business with you. The ones that make it an issue will NEVER be happy. You cannot please them.
It’s almost as though companies can hold values other than asset cap removal and shareholder value.
If only there were some way to know if Wells Fargo was one of them, say by the CEO signing the company onto a business round table document saying as much.
Wells has NEVER been able to keep their eye on the store. Departments who are pumping out the real work will be short-handed, while they will be flush in areas like D&I, Excellence First or Shared Success, Community Services etc. They are out of touch and clueless.
No one is getting canceled because they stand for diversity. The opposite is true.
The questions coming in are definitely plants. I miss the days when you could just speak up or put something in the chat. WF definitely trying to control the narrative here.
so much victimhood
It doesn't.
