Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

“Better together”

Here I am in the office on a Friday as a young wide-eyed analyst, yet the middle management people I work with are all home.

Why on gods green earth am I even in the building? Like jeez I missed the rule that says some employees can just not abide by office time requirements with 0 repercussions.

I know I’m not the only one with this scenario

Ok so we understand… if you are at the low end of the pay scale or the high end of the pay scale, you are entitled to work from home while the rest of us have to come in for 9 hours, 5 days a week?

@hn+1jtv3c0xx not taking about the call center in bldg 1. Building 2 is mostly full, my friend, and so are the toilets.

Considering call center employees make only $18/ he at Fiserv, they can't keep employees. Additionally, GBS wants to eventually use AI to replace call center employees (this Intel stems from a March meeting with a hire up in Credit Risk).

Coral is not close to full. Look at building 1 where all level 1 reps have been WFH since the pandemic. Total waste of money and real estate.

Cell service coverage is not a Fiserv building investment thing, it’s your carrier. Call them and complain and if enough complain something may change.

It’s a BS rule enforced by BS management and it is not consistent across the org

It's a full house in Marietta, GA. People sitting on top of each other. Biggest beef I have though is our cellphone reception in the office is horrible. It drops to 4G and one bar of reception. Come on Fiserv. Invest in the building some. We also need noise reduction as well. Clients complaint Boyt the background noise all the time.

9 hours and 5 days RTO is a bullsh-t.
The rule is not applied for all… this is not fair!

Empty office? Check your local bar and watering hole. Betcha full of Fiserv managers and employees having 1 or more on the way home. (True - I have met a few there).

Its also mothers day weekend so people are out for a long weekend. Also some people may have an electrician or plumber coming so they are working from home. Or some other reason that requires remote work.
People are pretty flexible and will to accommodate aspects of your life. Use it. Don't abuse it.
To be fair, It is very empty in my office building today, even for a friday.

Working at home was great. I had so many fewer distractions. Nobody talking, coughing, fa----g near me, less stress driving in id--t traffic to and from work. Better meals at home that I didn't have to pack and bring with everyday. Should be one or none days in the office, per week, maybe a check in day once a month. Doing customer service or tech work and having to report to an office 100% of the time is unreasonable unless you're dealing with physical computer equipment.
