@1cvn+1rbgkb0T Sure, they did what was right for their family but on the backs of others. There are Kohls individual contributors who can't do the job, so everyone else has to do it. And their Kohls boss looks the other way. That is the crooked part. They are incompetent, and there isn't a mechanism to do anything about it because they will protect each other at the expense of other people.
@1cvn+1rbgkb0T I think you miss the point, probably because you haven't dealt with them. It is common for a person to bring along another person they have worked with before. There is nothing wrong with that. But you need to be competent in the job. These people were hired for their loyalty, skills be damned. This is why we have Directors who never managed a team before becoming Directors. Why aren't they Sr. Managers first? That is the level you bring people in when they don't have any management experience. This is why we have Directors who don't have any engineering experience leading engineering teams.
They are not qualified but got their jobs because their Kohls boss wanted someone they could trust. Qualifications and skills be damned. And then they get their reviews from each other ('"they're great!") while the people underneath them are too afraid to say anything because they know they will be punished if they do.
honestly what they did is what anyone here would do. who doesn’t like more money? we would jump the ship aswell if our boss or friend invites us to a much better opportunity.
despite what people here say, people who moved here from kohls did what is best for themselves and their families
@hgf+1rbgkb0T "I don't understand why these people don't just resign. They clearly got the job through connections and got caught."
Why don't they resign? Because they lack shame and they are so morally bankrupt that they don't see anything wrong with their behavior.
@hgf+1rbgkb0T @kzt+1rbgkb0T I would be very shocked if SB and his minions were left standing. And why should he or any of the Kohls crew resign? They are overpriced and underqualified and know they are getting a great deal here. Who else would hire them at the same level/$$$$? We have Directors in the Bay Area who have little to no management experience, and they got promoted to that level by their Kohls boss. Some managers in GT don't have any engineering experience while leading an engineering team. Watch them shake in fear anytime you ask them anything related to engineering.
Meanwhile, the people in WHQ have to work their a-s off, working first as team leads, then Sr. Managers for years before becoming directors, if they get there at all. The Kohls people jumped the line through connections. They are so crooked, they don't see anything wrong with this.
@1xcy I think it is to avoid favoritism and bias. Its best that externals are doing it. If it was left to internals, our CTO would be fired and Rat brought back in to replace her
Only at Nike did they have to hire people in order to lay people off. Can't make this up.
Have managers and below in GT next in line for tomorrow?
Maybe they needed to recruit more people to lay off people in the lower ranks. DA doing all of them doesn't scale.
Based on the VP’s calendars looks like lots of layoffs in GT tomorrow through midday Friday.
50% week over, ~50% more to go
Kudos to those who survived, stay strong.
@hly no one is safe
Does it mean most ICs are safe?
damn "Known for his innovative growth mindset"... bringing trash people who cant even speak english to nike is innovative mindset?
If phase 1 does not involve IC, I would be damned. Consider the productivity knowing you may still be part of it in phase 2. I just want them to be done for the org in phase 1 and do different set of org in phase 2.
Getting back to the topic: I havent heard any reports from gt today.
time to buy long term PUTS on ELV ?
@qto+1rbgkb0T sorry i went by his linked in profile..looks like he finally got it. Damn i know lot many senior lead people there as i worked earlier. need to let them know that kohls trash is migrating there.
He will stick around as long as he can and until the time is right to join his boss. And so are his people under him joined with connections.Others will get cut to save theirs.
The 5 down vote guys on @kyn+1rbgkb0T is from kohls for sure. They all will be fired.

@kyn get out from under your rock and go touch grass
@kyn get off tik tok and read some news, yes he did
Their boss RAT didnt get any job yet... its been a year.
I'm impressed with SB's staying power though. Despite of being from Kohl's and working out of a ghost BATC office, he's still standing strong. In all seriousness, I don't understand why these people don't just resign. They clearly got the job through connections and got caught. Once the gig is up, why stick around? Maybe they have no chance of getting a job anywhere else, so each extra day on Nike's payroll is each extra day of paycheck.
guessing SB will be gone.. he is from Kohls
Nothing under the VP S.B. yet
