I've been with Truist for 3 years. Spent 8 years at Wells Fargo previously. Why does executive leadership spew lip service? In all seriousness, i've never seen a company whose executives just say things that are lip service continuously. It drives me nuts! It is so evident that the executives could care less about the employees. Throwing around buzzwords and platitudes like "Care" and our "Purpose, Mission, Values" and "Our best days are ahead". blah blah blah. It's all a marketing ploy towards our clients and potential clients. But when it comes to teammates, we're treated like cr-p. Does everyone else feel this way about the executives (Bill, Beau, Donta, Chris Ward)? There are some good people at Truist but i've never been so disengaged at a job. My team's morale is at rock bottom and it's due to us seeing through the bullsh** and getting tired of the disingenuous leadership. I feel like Truist is run by a bunch of con artists!

At the end of the Atlas Shrugged dude's reign and at the beginning of the bumpkin preacher guy watch, it seemed like a 'career' there had a 3 year shelf life. It's not reassuring that things haven't changed much over the years.
Lol, so sorry after experiencing a despicable bank you have walked into another bank that still has extremely hard feelings from the merger! HBB&T are still bu-t hurt over the merger ‘of equals’ that the cannot live with! They were too used to buying smaller banks and never understand the concept of equals! Best of luck.
@hfs+1lNH55xJ You don't know anything about HBB&T, SunTrust sucked the life out a once successful enterprise that was respected in the banking industry. Kelly sold out to the devil when doing the mergers of equals because certainly SunTrust was never and never will be a respected bank under Truist, you can never a wolf in sheep's clothing.
I wasn’t here thru the entire merger, and don’t have particular affinity for either heritage organization. I joined from another Regional bank, and one thing quickly became clear to me (aside from the mistake of accepting the job) - Truist is an ATM for the executive team.
I see little management creativity, no desire to build partnerships to improve processes, or any real effort to create an environment to attract customers. Instead, it is this bizarre altered-reality where instead of outlining key strategies, executives get on stage and regurgitate empty mantras (“Truist Cares”, “Stands for Better”, etc.), and blank-faced employees nod approvingly - and then go back to their office to be lambasted by unhappy clients. I have never seen anything quite like it.
Sc--w this company
Lol, I suspect your team came from h BBT! They will suck you down a deep hole! HBB&T love to disregard and claim their ‘processes’ just to hang on to their old bank. The old bank is gone and dead! But, they will never admit it!
It's saying something that this merger may be worse than BofA buying Merrill during the 2008-2009 meltdown. That was a nightmare.
You jumped out of the fire into the frying pan coming from WF to Truist. WF may be worse only because it is 3 times the size of Truist. Neither appear to be well managed.
Executive management donta care about anyone but themselves.
