Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Is there an hr for speak up?

If you go to speak up for ethical misconduct by a cabal of leadership reinforced by HR and Speak Up covers is up, what is the next move? Email Farley’s CDSID? Looking for answers. Every time we have holidays I seem to get punished for enjoying time off so I know the worst is yet to come.

I just wrote a book - it's kind and honest, but not appropriate for this forum, and I'm too tired to read it and scour the things that may be misinterpreted. You've always been welcome to talk to me directly even if you didn't feel that way. I don't know what they put you through, or how it's impacted you. I would like to continue the conversation, but not with the risk that comes with this site. Maybe we can reach some kind of accord; my word still stands, you shouldn't be uncomfortable and I'll add that I'm not a threat to you or anyone else. I hope you're peacefully sleeping at this point.

@rz Hey numbnutz, we live in the US, companies have a responsibility to provide a safe and healthy working environment. I'm not sure if you've been missing the themes in these threads... A safe and healthy working environment does not mean creating health issues and we-ponizing them, the EEOC takes this very seriously, and there is a significant penalty when they disregard all policy and regulation, luckily people seem to fu-k up and only help to document their actions .

@OP

Don't answer your phone on your time off. If you get heat for that, just accept it. Everyone and I mean everyone gets punished for taking time off anyway due to the sheer volume of fe--s that requires dealing with when everyone gets back. You know how I deal with the fallout? I take a look at the type 2 diabetes ridden LL5 or 6 that might be unhappy with me or my team, and count myself lucky that I'm not them. Because if you can't maintain your health that means you don't give a $hit and you have no self respect. So why should I respect someone whose unhappy with me? They should be unhappy with themselves for being a fat slob and they have bigger problems to attend to. At the end of the day, if they don't have their health, then none of this matters. I'll be playing with my grand kids while they are loosing their eye sight to type 2 and getting their limbs cut off because they cannot manage their blood sugar due to refusing to not be a disgusting pi-ply faced fat body.

Take Care of Yourselves - its your responsibility - before you take your frustration out on an employee, look in the mirror at yourself. Are you scared? Your family hate you? Instead of being motivated by metrics, motivate yourself to get your @ss out for a walk. Lower your blood pressure because you cannot afford to be an @ss hole. If your health is bad now, it will be worse in the years where you need friends the most. If you have been an @ss hole then people will rather kick you in the face then help you. Be a LL5 or 6 you can look back on and be proud of. Don't be a pr--k, but be fair.

At this point, you need to seriously assess how much you value your job. Further internal escalation could be framed as business disruption, so expect backlash if you haven't seen it already. Going external is risky, you’ve exhausted your options, and Ford typically doesn’t “mishandle” (from Ford's perspective) things at this stage. Either way, an external move would likely cost you your job, just delayed a year or so to avoid the appearance of retaliation.

@gz HR is going to well, HR... Managers need to learn how to manage people as opposed to handing it off to HR. That said HR is seems incompetent, I've seen the company quadruple liability by not reigning in management when they fail to manage their employees and someone's gone to far. I guess they see it as doing their "job", it would be great if people learned a little common sense, its dangerous for the company and employees when they all fail.

@h4 To add - a lot of these posts I can relate to on a striking level which makes me wonder how common this kind of thing is. Some experts in the field have told me my situation is not that uncommon, however it baffles me how any grown up with a bit of heart and logic could let this go on the way it did.

I'm haunted by these types of threads, someone once described the situation as a collective type issue. I don't usually touch these threads because of the risk of misinterpretation. I don't post about the situation I was in, as this has easily put me on edge for over a year and a half now and as a result, I cannot help but to constantly monitor for problems. If I'm honest some of these more directed conversations people have make little sense to me, or at least my assumption would be a far reach to apply to what happened to me. I will say this - if you have an issue, it is safe to bring it to people like me (not HR here) directly, I don't escalate and genuinely look to work towards harmony in the workplace, call me a coward, but I'd prefer to live in peace. I think a lot of us are the same.

@OP
Let me tell you my story.
I went to HR once to complain about a person on the same level as me. Because this person started sabotaging my team’s effectiveness; we actually collected specific examples and had 6 people support the complaint. The HR person was very helpful and stated we are just adding on to other people that complaint about the same person.

Long story short. The HR person was fired 2 months later. Half of the people complaining were let go or went on early retirement.

I was all over sudden from high achiever ranked at the low performer level. My career was shot. The person we complaint about was promoted and became my boss. I had no choice but to leave.

Why am I still here in this forum after over a year? Because I felt defeated and want to see if it was me or if it was just a toxic environment.

The answer is clear.
Don’t go to HR.

@fa i concur with that statement, but being predictable does not make it any less scary. It’s like a frog in water being dialed up to a boiling point, unable to get out before that threshold is reached. Especially when you’re young and life’s not so simple unfortunately. Vulnerability and all. Thank you, I appreciate it and hope you had a good Christmas.

@f8 oh don’t get me wrong they did teach proper ethics, the professor was quite good in fact. The issue was none of that APPLIED at ford. First you need people around you that can read, that is really hard. Second, if you get lucky and pass that part of the acceptance criteria, you need someone who is ethical and not manipulative. I found that second part exceptionally difficult here. You can go through the entire process and give them everything and they’ll just give you the boomer stare/ millennium stare or whatever they call it on the news. They think it’s an eye contest and hope you’ll just trick yourself into thinking you’re wrong or something because we’re younger and age apparently from what I was DIRECTLY TOLD takes seniority here, because it’s definitely not skill and comparable proven legitimacy in the field!

@ef+1kdavhmjr I remember when HR offered me benefits and a promotion to not quit and then once i stayed and they tricked me out of freedom under false pretenses like protection and what they offered, they started saying i lack empathy and gaslighting me and padding my file. Those people are str8 fu--ing lunatics, amber heard a-s leadership

@ee for starters i am denied religious holidays off, days off in general, and work beyond my salary, and on weekends. they tell me to be a team player and remind me when my family is waiting for my on late fridays that i have a choice: "my family or my career". my advisors, hr and supervisors all are in on it and everytime i talk to hr about real issues such as discrepancies and things not offered such as education my peers of different colors are taking advantage of from the jump, i get my file padded so now i'm taught that complaining makes me not so much of a team player. before you make a joke about me being a big baby i hope god doesn't put you through what they put me through, but maybe it will be better for society if you got fu--ing humbled to watch your fu--ing mouth

@e1 don’t fall for it. I spoke with that firm with real crimes holding on evidence. They are intelligence gathering doesn’t matter if they fought ford in the past, they have no skin in the game now and I haven’t seen them take on the biggest slam dunk that would’ve went down in history regarding illegal acts committed by ford. They are not on your side and this is a Trojan horse. Do not fall for it.

This is the firm I'm currently using, Pitt McGehee Palmer Bonanni & Rivers, and I believe this is who you're referring to. Many who've been sc--wed by Ford over the years have used this firm successfully. They came highly recommended when I was searching for an employment firm earlier this year. https://www.pittlawpc.com/

@d3 Let's put on our thinking caps. You really think they'd turn on the nobles for a few peasants? Do you want to be hanged? You don't know cowards. Cornered, they're the lowest of the low. Sc-m of the earth. They'll make you disappear and tell some story to the prince. The best thing to do in this situation is to shut our mouths, forget all this, and keep it civil. There is no "fighting the good fight". Or we all meet the same end. You must comprehend, that their very own staff cannot be allowed to peddle tales about them, they have a reputation to uphold. They'll cut their tongues before that happens. You won't see any wounded in their camp, in any battle, there are wounded. Sometimes it's very difficult to recover wounded from the battlefield, sure, but the truth is there are usually no wounded because there are no penitents. We just abandon them out there. To keep their cowardice secret, they would rather round up all of them in the square. And massacre them with their own hands while hanging all the soldiers who refuse to obey.

@d4 I honestly refer to these people as sleeper agents because even their own family doesn't know what they do to put food on the table, they are able to sleep at night and compartmentalize their selfish acts as a form of object permeance. usually object permeance is a thing observed by children, yet i'm totally serious. the grown up version that is seen more respectfully is "taking the stimulus out of the environment". we need to take these people to the archbishop because i fear that these people are last descendants of the devil. I'm sure the holy see is deeply concerned by what is going on here.

@d2 ford uses war tactics on civilians that pose a threat to their regime. legit corruption and tyranny, completely illegal yet insulated. our local universities, entrepeneurial ecosystems and so forth are completely compromised down to our state level of local government here in michigan. no valid litigation or investigation dare undermines the agenda ford has here. they collect and share intelligence on you and attack your loved ones and anything they can to discredit and legitimize you. anything is up for grabs when you pose a threat, and they will use people like past institutional mentors to find weaknesses to pad files with misinformation. it's absolutely heartbreaking, especially for young, passionate, and ambitious people. Ford runs this town and people are cowards. once you get in the crosshairs of people with infinite money glitches, you see what black money and unethical levels of power really is and how much of a hold they have on our societies ability to advance and progress. they are intertwined with your childrens education, influencing every level for their selfish reasons, squandering opportunities for control... and you don't even know it.
