Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Fire the ELT

John Donahoe, Heidi O’Neill, Matt Friend, and Mo Matheson are single-handedly ruining this once great company and quite literally running it into the GROUND. Does our Board of Directors care? Does our founder care? Does Mark care?

Why is the Board letting this group of incompetent leaders stay and line their pockets and bank accounts with millions of dollars from our company while cutting and laying off the band-level employees actually grinding to execute these heinous strategies. There is not one business, marketplace, finance, or HR strategy that these leaders have overseen in the last 3+ years that has been successful. Case in point: we have had to entirely walk back every single one of Heidi’s brilliant marketplace ideas (welcome back, Macy’s, DSW, etc.) yet she continues to get promoted and is supposedly the next CEO in waiting once they fire JD. Mo selling millions of dollars in stock ahead of a to be announced re-organization that she would have insider information about? This is the definition of insanity.

Either our Board is completely being lied to and having the wool pulled over their eyes, or they are part of one of the greatest financial fleecing stories in American corporate history. FIRE THE ELT and start over with people who actually have heart and hustle for this brand. Not these incompetent millionaires worried about their multimillion dollar mortgages and private jet travel. JUST DO SOMETHING PHIL!

The board needs to hold the ELT accountable for this failure.

Outrageous salary for terrible results. Stock hasn’t gone up in three years. Leadership is sickeningly overpaid. They were handed the second best brand name in the world and have achieved nothing but lining their pockets. (Apple at #1)

Replace them!! Failure!

@gss+1qczw7LR If JD’s salary is “dismal” then sign me up.

Damn. A servant leader might offer to cut his salary to show his solidarity.

…at least JD has not been receiving much compensation for his dismal performance 😬 🤬

Total compensation:
2020/2021 - $53.4m
2021/2022 - $32.9m
2022/2023 - $28.8m
