This is crazy…I moved to SC but new assignment is uptown Charlotte?? Mind you, my team never had to go to the office before. So it’s inexplicable why we even have to but to add insult to injury instead of sending me to closest office they want me to commute uptown?! Um I don’t think so, not going to happen. Our team is spread throughout the area and others are in SC too.

I don’t remember anyone promising us a nice commute. We usually work where our groups work. I’d prefer the branch in my neighborhood but I’m not a branch team member.

Go to Teamworks and search "Our Workplace". You may be surprised to find an assigned building like I did even though we had been told nothing has been heard yet.
My BU hasn't seen anything regarding RTO. I feel bad for those of you who have.
Mine can say whatever it wants. I am WFH or there will be an ADA lawsuit and a lot of bad publicity because I will make sure it is public on every media platform.

You work where you are assigned to work. Since when people can pick and choose what building they want? Quit whining or just leave. No one force you to stay. Shoo!
I pass 3 WF office buildings on my way to my assigned office in downtown Minneapolis where I was “invited” to return and I can pay for parking.

Charlotte, St Louis, NY, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Arizona campus, 3 different CA locations, CO and DC. Those are the hubs. How is this not known?
Fort Mill is a Hub due to the Carolina Campus near the border which is primarily Mortgage

SC isn't a hub, plain and simple. There are only a small amount of true hubs.
There are many examples of people who are not customer facing situated at a retail location. My first job in banking, not WF, was just that. There was a basement office.

I always hated visiting my co-workers at Brevard when it was the AT&T building.
It does look nice inside there though, at least from what I can see out my window 4 blocks away. I don't understand why they leave all the big presentation screens on 24-7 but I've got a great view of anything displayed on them, as does probably 1-5% of the population of uptown.

Some people have trouble following simple instructions.
First off, we were told the work locations will be announced 9/27/2021, yet some decided to so one or two days later.
Secondly your manager can submit a telecommuting request on your behalf and if you are as valuable as you believe you are, it will be approved.
Folks need to relax, read, and take action ad needed. No need to get bent out of shape for nothing.
If there are multiple locations, it’s sadly not based on the closest one at all. See if you can escalate to your boss.
