@c1 How do you honestly prepare yourself for this conversation!!
At the risk of being told you've done a rubbish job, even when you haven't.

It does not matter because this conversation is just to inform you on your rating. The rating could be set even by the head of department if your manager refused to give you the prescribed rating.

@cf as a mgr im down to talk to any lawyer and tell what i see from my side. Reg employees dont see or hear what we are. They need to be sued to the point robin and his 23MM a year feel it

@bg conversations have to occur starting 12/8 but if they marked you below then Hr is aware and currently making mgmt join these meetings to discuss what action to take for anyone in that status. Its truly disgusting. They wont pay severance so i say everyone look elsewhere asap and stick it to them. Dont give ample time just go. Make they feel what they are doing to us

It’s true. I’m a manager.

Anyone rated as category 5 will receive an email in January telling them they are effectively terminated and are receiving 60 days notice. During that time period, you are expected to work.

@OP if true, clearly Robin Vince is begging for massive lawsuits and significant reputational damage. All it takes is one law firm representing multiple folks to destroy the legacies of Mellon and Bank of New York. I hope he and his maniacal leaders reap exactly what they sow.

On a different note, I am unabashedly gleeful this holiday season, first of many post leaving that toxic cesspool earlier this year!

Good luck to all and Happy Holidays. Remember. Do bare minimal and do not let the ugly machinations get to you.

We just need to realize that someone who has never seen what we do before or even know what we do has picked the ratings so there’s absolutely nothing personal or even work related behind these ratings.

@OP - my boss is mental. Do you think he will tell me that he thinks I am below or will he just terminate me first and then remember to mark me as below? With him I expect the latter.
