So ... the Dallas bobbleheads mandated the RTO. You MUST be in the office or else. Now, janitorial services in my building just informed us that AT&T has cut their budget, so they are only going to collect trash from a central location (i.e. waste bin in the break room). No desk side trash pickup. Each employee is now responsible for cleaning the cube, including trash collection. However, no cleaning supplies have been provided. No trash bags are provided. And they think that single waste can in the break room is going to hold the trash from all of the desk side bins from an office for a week. What will these mo--ns come up with next?

Apparently there will be no heat in the offices either. Holy crud it’s cold and it’s only mid October.
My office smells like BO today. I guess the weekend wasn’t enough time to clear it out.
Encouraging people to mess up their own offices so this gets fixed? That won’t work. It will only serve to make your peers more miserable.
I like to wear my hiking boots to the office on mondays. It cleans all the mud off in the hallways.
Wipe fe--s on the walls and cieling! That will force Stankey to restore contracted cleaning services.

I've seen an incredible change in my location. The cleaning services seem to be cleaning our bathrooms twice per day. A lady hovers and wipes down desks after I eat at my desk. Last week, she was wiping down the walls with a dust rag. Its bizarre. People come out of nowhere to change the trash can when I toss a paper cup into it. Security people everywhere. Some days, I wonder if Stankey is just down the hall, but he isn't.
SBC cut janitorial services nearly 20 years ago in the Pacific buildings. Before the cut, each trash can at every desk was emptied each night. Entire floors were vacuumed. Bathrooms cleaned
They went from that, to only central trash can, 35 gallon with a lid, that got emptied when necessary. Bathrooms still got cleaned. Vacuuming, rarely.
Use paper from the nearest printer. If it clogs the toilet, sh-t in the nearest trash can
If they cut janitorial services, I wouldn't have noticed. They hardly existed 5 years ago. Now they seem to get more work cleaning out vacant offices than cleaning bathrooms and kitchenettes.
I work for those paychecks on the 6th and 21st. They are still getting deposited like clockwork. When they don't then I move on and retire.
Bring your own toilet paper.
When one passes they usually wait a few days before throwing the lime dust. The building will smell and takes time to clear the rodents. Good day.
This has been going on for MANY years for those of us who don't work in the Golden Palaces where the executives live.
The only thing the cleaning crew did in the CO I called an office for a time was take out trash and clean bathrooms. They didn't sweep, mop or vaccuum the carpets at all.
FOR YEARS.
I know this because anytime a ro--h would die, it would lie there for years. It got to the point where I started putting little paper headstones down to draw attention to them, but nothing ever changed. The carpet was half a dozen different colors, the paint peeling off the walls and water damage was evident everywhere.
I finally was able to leave that office after an air quality check found excessive levels of mold throughout the building. ( Sitting in that for years is probably what wrecked my lungs )
When I asked the Building Manager why they didn't even do basic cleaning, his reponse was very typical AT&T: " Not in the budget "
You guys are just noticing this? Has been this way since Covid. All desk side trash cans were taken away years ago. I kid you not I saw our janitor taking a nap last week in her supply room because she has nothing to do.

I was with you until you said, nearly 100% of complaints filed with EH&S or OSHA is the complaint’s fault, I call BS on that. Non-janitorial employees aren’t responsible for supplying, sanitizing and cleaning the restrooms or the building beyond disposing of TP, hand towels, disposing of their trash and not leaving a general mess.
The work center I report to has not had any janitorial service in going on 3 months.
Coming up is one roll of TP per day for the whole floor, take turns. I’d bet my next paycheck against the C suite not having any cost savings or cutbacks on their janitorial services. Stanky gave one of the janitorial ladies a bribe on a video, not long ago. It would have been better spent putting that money in the Janitorial budget for the masses.
Next will be a schedule for mopping the restroom, tiled areas and vacuuming the carpets. That’s your new purpose!
This is true. In call center our trash cans were removed and we now have a centralized trashcan for the whole floor
Cube?? You have a cubicle?! God, how I miss the days of cubicles! We have the now privacy tables where we get to hear every person's conversation and meetings. (not call center, highly technical network staff)
The janitorial services were cut in April well before RTO. Many of the employees are pigs and I would hate to see their house if they treat it the same as their work space. In almost 100% of the complaints filed with OSHA or EH&S, when the investigation is over the the person or group making the complaint is at fault. People need to grow up and be responsible for their own actions rather than trying to blame everyone else. Yes , the company has made a lot of cuts to save money and will continue to do so, but that’s not an excuse to act like 5 year olds.
Read your OP140 guidelines, they have been in place since you were hired.

Bring in your trash from home and dump it in the break room trash bin. Let T pay for your trash pickup

Make sure the smelly trash is deposited on the executive floor.
I'm sure some company will want to pick apart at&t in the sell off. After the union is done and they cut employees back to very few. Look at Frontier, Lumen, and the rest .....at&t is worse off than they are due to the id--tic management.

They contracted out what was left of CRE managers a few months ago, reduced janitorial budget. Get used to few services but per OSHA they have to provide clean restroom facilities including TP and soap. Send emails to your building manager about the conditions as needed.
Nothing new here. It was this way going back many years in my office, up until the point they closed the office, condemned it, and demolished it. No TP, to soap in the washroom, no hand towels. Fe--s all over the place. Got so bad I would use the gas station restroom across the street.
I would not shake hands with anyone in the office!
But no worries - the Stink has all the TP he needs, and some one to wipe his butt. Greatly needed since the Stink is the biggest POS in existence.
When stupid policies are implemented, don't fret. Instead, embrace and amplify the policy. Let's see how much filthy, smelly trash the central bins can handle. Got any leftovers in the fridge that needs to go? Any salmon skins? See any roadkill that needs a home? etc...
Just wait until they have us cleaning the bathrooms daily.
There are some serious blobs in my office. They produce more trash in a day than most make in a week. I'd like to see them waddle to the break room carrying a bin of their own creation to throw out. Fat chance this works. The offices will be a pigsty in a short time. This company is swirling around the toilet. Only a matter of time before it is all over.
