Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Home stretch

We’re about to enter the 4th quarter of 2024. As per the FB playbook that never changes, here’s what to expect:

Contractors will be furloughed
Year-end self reviews will be required earlier than ever
Benefits enrollment will reveal negative changes for the employee
Rules about implementation freezes will be broken because FB made unrealistic promises
You’ll be told nothing about your year end review after you submit your self review at their unrealistic deadline
Rumors about year-end layoffs will ramp up come November
You’ll get emails for Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas each thanking our troops because thanking you is not something he does

Feel free to pile on.

It's funny how Fiserv does all these "layoffs" but it's never big enough to have to announce it on the WARN website. The last one was when they closed the South Dakota office. Before that was 2020. This company has a history of keeping these small so that they can stay under the radar and out of the media. But here we are announcing that layoffs are indeed happening.

There’s no such layoff for contractors… perhaps you meant contract not extended.

I feel your pain about having no say in the matter of who on your team you have to layoff. It has happened to me several times and I had to retain poor performers and let go good employees. I turned in my notice because of this.

Had to lay off someone this week. Was given no say in the matter.

There won’t be a Merry Christmas email. That would “trigger” 1 person.

And you can bet the health insurance rates will go up which is ridiculous for a company this size! Beware of their strategic language when this is presented to associates
