I'm having trouble sleeping, I'm having trouble concentrating, and I'm even having trouble enjoying things that usually help me decompress. I don't know when's the last time I was able to game for longer than ten minutes. It's not just the layoffs, it's the work environment that is growing more toxic by the day. I'm not sure how others are dealing with it, but it's destroying my mental health.

show up to your job, do your job and go home. It is really that easy.
You have nothing to sweat as long as you are woke, lbgxyz, non binary, or non white.
You have to realize that you work for a company full of Hypocrites, Narcissist, people totally void of any morality and who just don’t give a cr-p about anyone but themselves. Also too busy with the globalist WOKE addenda that’s destroying America
you got this, honestly always keep your resume up to date, stop working at 5, and take mini breaks. most people feel the same way, the others are completely done with this s4it show of a company anyway. sometimes i wish i was rule of 75 but other days i’m like it’s not too late to move to an actual tech company. keep your head up. and know your worth.
Why are you stressing over layoffs? We have a layoff clause in our contract for 4 more years.
Exact reason why I retired back in June and left. I started "quietly quitting" in 2018 and then when the threat of money loss of my pension "suddenly" surfaced, I threw in the towel altogether. Don't let them ki-l you, they'll have your job filled the next day as though you never existed and then your director will make an announcement about your passing away which leads into more sales and more work by the time he/she's done talking. Please take care of yourself first.
Take some time off, look for a new job, and quit. I really don’t understand reading all these posts talking about what a horrible stressful experience they are having at Verizon but they choose to continue to stay in the environment. Why stay with the company? Find a new job and better your life
@fwv+1iDbaOng is so funny that it's not funny. This is the worst "Executive Leadership" that this company has ever had. End of story. They all need to go.
Simply put. Verizon isn’t worth it. Do the minimum required. It’s nearly impossible to get fired.
Oh! In lieu of 5 free counseling sessions EAP gives you videos online 24-7. That's cool! That's digital disruption & cash savings right there. Plus that hotline we bought right? I was told that I need to cover my work duties when I go see my family after a parent undergoes cancer surgery. It's in 2 months, but my sr mgr is toooo busy to figure out 6 workdays.
I feel like I'm back at the Dairy Queen & I gotta cover my shift.
Tell your boss that you are on the verge of a nervous breakdown. They will talk you down off the ledge and get you the help that you need.
FMLA, take some downtime. This will help to reset your worklife/personal life balance.
Your all lucky to work fot the greatest company there is. Outstanding leadership and superior work environment. Stop complaining and go to work!
Quiet firing, search it
It is what vz sny many others do
Take stress level and find a new job while getting paid. dont let this company ki-l you. You being a loyal employee wont be engraved on your headstone.
Picture a canary in a coal mine. They are healthy birds, singing away as they make their way into the cave. But, when they come out full of soot and disease, no longer singing, can you imagine us asking why the canaries made themselves sick? No, because the answer would be obvious: the coal mine is making the birds sick.
In a way being at the office at first was like visiting somewhere I used to live where I had good memories. Sort of nostalgic. OP though, you sound like you need a good week or two off. Have any personal days left that you can combine with vacation days? Nothing at this place is worth your mental or physical health. At the end of the day, it's a job, something we do to live. We each need other things in our lives to take our time when we aren't working so we don't get sucked into the endless loop of afterhours work when we are supposed to be living our lives.
It's called "burnout", Verizon tends to talk about burnout meaning lack of work life balance. It's really way more than that.

Ironically for me, being in the office helps normalize the day for me a little. We're still remote 95% of the time, but when I'm in office I end the day less stressed.
Oh my!
