Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

One Person

That’s the count of employees on my floor in Charlotte. Glad I wasted commute time, gas, and parking fees.

My floor in Chicago is supposed to have 100, the days I go, I counted 8 including me! I have to hunt for people to collaborate with since my team is in another state. I come out of my office hunting for folks, talk about social distancing lol

the only thing 'ramping up' is the number of HR issues and time wasting activities. Se-ual harassment, drama, various forms of physical violence, disability claims, talking sports and weather for hours on end etc.

Actual production? Dropping to the bare minimum. Funny thing about expectations, they run both ways.

I went into the office on Friday. I saw about five people total and all I saw was them walking back and forth over and over again. I really didn't see anyone working! LOL!

End of 9-5 and RTO. Future will be "Work from Anywhere and Anytime (WFAA)" but join team meetings and agile ceremonies.

it will be interesting to see how this all plays out. over the next few weeks/months as enforcement steps up and people start getting put in informal and formal notice you'll see a large uptick. if you don't want to be in the office then go find a remote job somewhere. like it or not the RTO stagecoach is moving forward with increased speed and will be unlikely to stop.

"A dead-end career in an archaic company?"

That somehow is the third-best company to work for right now. I wonder how much that cost Charlie.

Good to see CLT stand strong... I cringe being on that light-rail in the AM and worst in the PM

@dmi - “Investing” in what exactly? A dead-end career in an archaic company?

My location should have multiple ‘leaders’ from my department, I haven’t seen one yet.
Three days a week is rapidly going down to two for me. If I still don’t see them after some time, then I’ll be home full time also.

You did the right thing when nobody was looking. It will keep you off somebodies sh*t list one day and, just like home, you have no interuptions.

Don’t think of it as ‘wasting’, think of it as ‘investing’.

Realistically, RTO is going to ramp up as managers set expectations on who needs to go in and when. Be happy the parking lot isn't full and that there's no problem finding a cube to sit in.

Our team has been instructed that we start with once a week. It may change, but that's the drill at this point. We coordinate on which days we're all going in. And honestly, other than the pain in the neck of not having an assigned cube it has been nice meeting up with my colleagues

You need that in your performance review. "Exhibiting strong leadership skills, I was able to single-handedly double the RTO metric in my location."

"Employee RTO participation at your location just increased 100%"
