Sorry about reading the news regarding the full time employees. Do you guys think if contractors will be affected? As Cognizant is planning to move me in Nike Project but I am hesitant now after reading the news. Once again I am so sorry for your situation.

Yes Tech is currently trying to reduce overall Cognizant spend by 30%. This is the direction MD is getting from McKinsey. It’s a crazy number, but that’s what they are working to do right now. Expect major impact on all Cognizant work.
My team go let go last CDA, I lost my contract. So yes, they will terminate you if your category is affected.

I would make sure your contract stipulates they move you back if things go south in x number of years. Given the circumstances this seems like a reasonable ask.
