The sad thing is WF is totally ok with that type of person. No one gets in trouble for being a pain or pushing paper. Do what you gotta do.

Bravo OP. Most important thing, when the end finally comes, make sure you tell them that you just couldn't continue supporting a company that has an RTO policy.

Congrats, I really wish if only it is the same for me.

I was forced to train H-1B workers for multiple years. I was eventually pushed out with severance after 3 years sharing every ounce of my knowledge.

After leaving, I find H-1B visas from the same country are taking over majority of the roles in my field. Now I am forced to start over in a field that I know nothing about. With all the experiences I have, I am grateful to have a job. But I am also realistic today that I will never be successful.

It is nothing but broken dreams. I realize I will never be financially secured to settle down, get married, etc.

It’s one thing to “give up” while you’re in the thick of current state chaos and cr-p, but it’s a whole different level of pathetic to find another job, not need a new one and intentionally come back to do nothing. Your approach will result in more work for people who had zero to do with you supposedly getting “hosed” from a bonus. Grow up!
