Heard today that it may no longer be required. There is so much systemic discrimination and racism, I personally believe that much more training is needed and that it needs to be mandatory.

Stockholders demand Senior Management and Board of Directors resign, or immediately eliminate all DEI initiatives.
Sometime around a year before I left WF, my manager told me that he wanted to promote me, but there's no way a promotion for a white male would be approved.
It's not difficult to discern that D E I is of the devil himself. He wants everyone of us to be divided against one another. Fixing racism by promoting racism doesn't work, it adds fuel to the fire. On another note. I'm glad we're on our way out the door when it comes to the whole pronoun debauchery. You want to live that way? Fine. But don't expect me to be on board with it. Give me your NAME, I don't care what it is. You could be a George and want to go by Sally for all I care but don't expect me or anyone else to call you by a pronoun. We'll call you Sally if that's what makes you feel secure in life. I can respect that; now you respect my view and respond to your name.
It definitely seems like references to pronouns during intros is gone forever. I hope the option to put them in email sinatures and business cards is gone soon as well.
@s0+1jjd41pm6, This! That's what I have been saying all this time that DEI is illegal. I could never understand those tone-deaf radical leftists who are destroying our society.
And to add to my comment below, it's against the law to discriminate based on race, which is exactly what DEI does. They want you to hire certain races but exclude others in order to meet a certain agenda?
It's crazy how much has changed within the past 10 years. DEI, pronouns, etc.
I'm a Manager and I've always hired based on qualifications, not race/ethnicity. I have a very diverse group mixed with Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic, and African American's. I never understood the need for DEI.
Quotas are illegal, you mo--ns.
OP is a massive Troll
DEI , Affirmative Action are now residing in the dust bin. Get ready to work rather than being a victim.
I literally do not care about DEI, I click through that training as fast as possible. Such a waste of time.
DEI fatigue is counter productive.
DEI training was optional last year. I still have those classes (which I've taken before) in my assignment queue. They're not required.
I don't need training to be told not to act like an a$$hole.
Why do DEI hires always smell so bad?
So blind people can hate them too.
I don't see white people or non-white people. I just see "people" with their character and ability. I could never understand the concept of DEI. I believe in equality for all. As long as you keep talking about race or color, you will never get rid of racism.
DEI -
Diverse
Employment
Incompetency
What do you call 1000 DEI hires at the bottom of the ocean?
A good start.
@fm along those lines, complains that other countries are emptying their prisons and sending them here, proceeds to empty US prisons and keeps them here.
As a non-American, I've never heard of a DEI hire. Everyone makes it sound like hiring the most incompetent candidate for the job, so I can only assume it means Donald Jr, Eric, and Ivanka.
Welp the boomers certainly took the bait
Still have never seen a single person, either on this board, at work, in town halls, etc., ever provide ONE concrete example of what exactly the DEI initiatives at WF have achieved, how they've made the company better, etc.
Still waiting. Certainly there's one person out there who can provide an objective example.
Here's an easy counterexample: hundreds of thousands of hours of lost productivity due to mandatory trainings.
Thank goodness!! Now I can just say what I really think again in interviews/town halls/board meetings etc.
Regards,
Chuck S.
DEI is the most racist concept that has ever been invented.
I believe in merit-based hiring and promotion, period.
White people affirmative action
Who knew whites were so fragile?
Everybody who isn't white, that's who.
"If you have 10 people with the same credentials, but different backgrounds competing for a job, they will always pick the white guy. That is WHY we need DEI."
This is what is wrong with DEI. It's racist.
If you lined up everyone and picked the resume that had all of the qualifications needed (no names, no other identifiers), and the resume that got picked turned out to be a white guy, the DEI champs would still call that racist.
Utterly fu---d up reasoning.
I have an honest question. Why do Indian managers always hire only Indians?
If you have 10 people with the same credentials, but different backgrounds competing for a job, they will always pick the white guy. That is WHY we need DEI.
I am all for recruiting folks from diverse backgrounds, as long as they have the qualifications and/or experience to support the role. I've been in teams where I have spent most of my day training new hires for months (who still don't understand the intricacies of the job).
Don't get me wrong, I love teaching and was a TA back in college. But, I can't be teaching the fundamentals of software development and programming languages while I have my day job. That's above my pay grade.
DEI was a scam
I like "Didn't earn it"
I personally believe DEI is so wrong, unethical and very evil.
Good - they need to stop promoting lower qualified people into roles because of racial and other priorities. DEI = Didn't Earn It! And it's 100% racist!
