Thread regarding CVS layoffs

manager called on monday

she first asked, about coming to office, I said I'm 50 miles away so I'll be remote.

Then she asked me about my summer vacation plans. is something brewing or she just wants to plan better ?

I was FT WAH the last few years. They recently switched to Hartford location. If you’re within the 25 miles, they WILL change your status and expect you in.

All remote jobs are done. Anyone over 25 is gonna be termed.

They have to plan work , as a lot of folks take time off in summer. Nothing to worry

I would be concerned. Why? Because that is exactly how I was told I was laid off. Do not become complacent and trust this company. I never had any reason to feel that my job was on the line until 2023. No poor reviews or complaints that I was aware of. However, I was hired as WAH, with no office close by. Never mind the fact I could name at least 5 others on my team that could be let go. But I was chosen. Probably age and income related.

Was I my managers favorite, no, nor did I try to be. I worked hard, did what I was told, and did not complain.

Don’t you see? If they want you gone, you will be. Period. Wake up folks and take care of yourselves. BTW, look at all the CVS job postings, hardly any are remote any longer. They want people onsite and will replace you if you do not comply or have the ability to.

My understanding is ANY employee within 25 miles from an Hartford OR RI location is now T-Th in office or expect to be disciplined.

Doesn’t matter if you were hired fully remote, your team was updated to fully remote, or you just haven’t been coming in.

There are exceptions to this new policy such as some call center roles as well as if you have a confirmed reasonable accommodation already in place.

The fact that they will hold holidays and PTO against the count is ridiculous!

As far as the dashboard documentation, if someone is out for a RA they won’t be counted. If someone outside of the 25 miles (aka lives in Arizona) they may be tracked but won’t be disciplined.

Saying remote in workday doesn’t mean anything. I was hired as FTWFH but am within 25 miles of one of the offices so I have to go in T/W/TH. They can and will change the rules to suit their purposes at anytime. They don’t care about how it will affect any of us. They don’t care about us. Period.

@uyr+1sUsJbLy Does that mean if you are coded as work from home in workday that this does not apply to you and you get to stay remote? Or are people being changed to hybrid in the system?

There’s a document that you can very easily find by searching for it that is a guide that explains a tableau dashboard ALL VPs have access to (and only VPs).

In the document it says about they are being tracking for everyone under their organization for amount of days in office.

There are some exceptions (I.e reasonable accommodations) BUT if your job is coded as having a work location in workday even if fully remote forever, your lack of badge swipes WILL hurt that VPs score.

The document basically states that this report can be used to direct managers to increase butts in seats.

I found it when reviewing another document and then clicking on the OneWork tag and just looking through the list of documents on CZ.
