Executives commenting here trying to excuse their existence….this is a Nike layoff page. But glad you’re paying attention. That’s all you’re good for, gossiping and being a brown nose. Hope you’re having fun with your Nike stock.

How disgusting are there Dr and Sr Dir who earn a hefty paycheck and play Victim and pretend they have Zero autbority! May or May not be true but you are all Professional back stabbers! Our Sr Dir, has an associate degree in Art! Serving a Sr Dir in Tech! Literally there was no one else in this country with Education in Tech or management to lead the team! All she does is to carry a note book to write herfe observations, anyone said something? She is Writing it... Anyone gave an idea about something? She document everything to report to HR or to other managers and cause drama

My team's leaders are the most catty and gossipy men I've ever met. No control or influence? How about demonstrating either by shutting your mouths in office so morale can improve? This is fu-cking clown world.

@1wmd Right?! Arguing helplessness, loss of control and passivity of the director role. Odd the ones shaming then claiming victimization still receive paychecks from Nike.

Alright, want to clean yourself up after that little p:ss fit and proving the point? Only abusers and narcissists respond to being held accountable like that.

@faq+1tlnbexY It’s true dbag Directors at Nike have no control, no budget or any say over anything. But you are likely always a victim in everything in your life so go f-c* yourself

Would have loved to hear such human sentiment from my leaders. How convenient that you appeal to humanity now. So strong, so intrepid!

Why would you squander your last bits of respect by defending your irrelevancy?

Of course much easier to act like literally everyone who is in leadership is an awful person than to admit that sometimes things are hard and people are fallible. Grow up.

Sure thing! Our personal experiences vary, just like the individuals who misrepresent their leadership titles and influence.

@ faq+1tlnbexY you can believe that if it helps you sleep at night, but it doesn’t change the reality. The amount of times that I have heard things that the same exact time as my team in regards to strategies, priorities, org structures, roles, policies, etc, leaves no doubt that I had very little control over the fate of my sphere of influence.

More disingenuous bullsh:t. You put on a front of control and integrity, adorning those bloated titles when it’s convenient.

Accountability in your manager/director roles hasn’t been safe lately, so you relinquish your seniority and diffuse responsibility while feigning impartiality. Typical behavior and characteristics of harmful leadership.

Directors at Nike are the equivalent of Managers or Supervisors at other companies. We have zero say, influence or control over anything it’s a bloated title.

FWIW, Dir and SrDir have very little influence over the direction of their team at Nike. Especially Dirs. And it’s hard to see that unless you’ve been in those roles. I was a director for nearly a decade and had little say ultimately in the priorities, team roles, even what those roles are paid. The Director level did not get us into this mess.

The fish rots from the head. The senior most ‘leaders’ are responsible for this mess, not middle managers. Unless significant change occurs on top, no positive reversal is possible. If JD, MM, HON, et Al had any self respect they would ‘retire’ immediately.
