Thread regarding TIAA (TIAA-CREF) layoffs

How are our former colleagues faring at Accenture?

It looks pretty grim over there, judging by the numbers being reported. I sincerely hope they’ve been managing to hang on. Honestly, I wish the same for all of us. It’s brutal out there, and I shudder at the thought of having to job hunt again.

@f3 Those who can, so; those who can’t, work at Accenture (or TiAA).

Issue is Accenture took too many folks who know the process but couldn’t improve it and kept doing it for many years the same old way. Leaving behind most of the teams that could improve it like CI, Robotics and others in process improvement.

Sadly… They should have taken many more folks that know the systems and the processes versus using their own business improvement people and trying to get them up to speed. From what I hear it is a nightmare for OG Accenture employees and same old same old for TIAA turned Accenture employees.

I mean Denver alone could have sent about 200 more people there instead of being laid off for an office closure. But no they don’t care and would rather pay millions in severance versus keeping knowledgeable and skilled workers who know our backwards obsolete systems, processes, databases and reporting.

Accenture will get rid of most of the former TIAA employees over time with layoffs and attrition because Accenture claims those employees don't have any AI programming skills. It's just a matter of time. Shoot, since Frisco is struggling to get to 2,000 people to get the $18M from that clown, Greg Abbott, maybe most of them will be rehired by TIAA and be reassigned to Jerry Jones' THE COLONY.
