It took me a while to make myself realize that the only reason I was still here and not looking at other options was the fact that I had gotten too comfortable here. Despite everything that had gone wrong in the past several years, my position was that it was better to stay at a place where I have been for a while and where I know how things work rather than move on. I wasn't happy but at least I was in my comfort zone. Once that clicked and I forced myself to start looking it took me just two months to find something better. Yes, it was scary, but it was worth it in the end. The sooner you realize this, the better you'll be in the long run.

I was sticking around for the tuition reimbursement and had planned on leaving later 2022 anyway. Employers want loyal employees..well it works both ways.

Really bad advice. Your premise is that the grass is greener somewhere else. As they say buyer beware.
