Seems like the consistent number 1 complaint?

@12c and throw hands
@wr Has nothing to do with "showing who the real boss is". It's something that is even covered in our learning portal. You don't work for the manager. You work for Truist - the company. The rules apply to them just as it does to you. And if you show that you know what those are, it's quite easy to disarm abusive and toxic managers.
And depending on the state you're in, retaliation against employees for protecting themselves is a NO-GO. It just requires a little bit of reading up on.
Report them to HR
@wr I say ignore this troll and read up on Reactive Abuse and DARVO.
There are many people here who do this and this goon is trying to induce it.
@rh I say hit them, show them who the real boss is; or maybe not, maybe go the right route and be the bigger person.
Speak up if they are out of line. They cannot write you up for "talking back" especially if they are out of line. And if they retaliate, even better.
I've noticed an increase of managers who are clueless when it comes to job functions but have a chip on their shoulder. Easily bruised egos. And remember, as long as you're doing your job, following regulations and policies, they can't do anything about it but complain.
@kf+1k2abr2q5 - EverQuest? Best MMORPG of all time.
@kf I think you meant “riled” up but see I get paid to be in here so it keeps me from getting bored.
@kd Oh, and at least get your taunts right, Fortnight is after my time. I was more of a mmo/rpg fan. I haven't played video games in years due to the fact I get to participate in a better game, luring and rounding all of you up.
@kd Wrong thread stalker.
@kc that before or after you got caught playing Fortnite?
@jw No, I don't have a manager, I saw it happen to others.
But but but purpose and and and stickers!!
@et I agree, and their response to pointing this out is to "be an adult". All part of the mind games and gaslighting.
I definitely feel like a child by the decisions this company makes, especially around RTO and in office expectations. Go ahead, keep giving me more work, telling me I’m doing amazing but lower my rating because I’m not in the office 4 days a week. Eventually you’ll lose people for feeling like a child and being unrecognized. And no, my job has no reason to be in office. Without getting into specifics, I don’t need to talk to any of them when I’m in.
I'm in the small % that has a good manager - when I say "I feel disrespected by organizational decisions" they say "yes, you should, I feel the same way and have for a decade."
But there's no recourse and in my niche jobs that pay better require 2x effort, so I just hope that the bigwig musical chairs eventually accidentally leads to a series of competent decisions that benefit people on my level.
@az Some are incompetent, others are actual Psychopaths.
The dark triad actions are for sadism, not leadership. I've witnessed managers lose more money doing that, than the sum of all their gains combined.
With that going on internally, how can the firm expect to be taken seriously by outside investors?
Many managers are simply incompetent, fully aware they’re in over their heads. To hide it, they overcompensate with arrogance and tear down their own team members. Just look at several EL members—blatantly unqualified for the positions they’ve been handed, yet clinging to authority they haven’t earned.
Funny that managers are encouraged to demonstrate superiority instead of being a proactive peer and work to do a good job together. Puzzling as it’s either stupidity or just a way to get people to leave and reduce headcount. Either way, it’s a d-mb and lazy way to run a business.
