@g1 what are you 6? You don’t understand a 401k either? You can start drawing on your 401k at age 59 and 6 months. If you retire at 59 and 6 months, 60, 61, 62, 63, or 64 you will need healthcare. So many people voting for things they don’t understand. Do some research before you start sh00ting off at the mouth.

@em exactly the op’s point. The company offered a raise of 40% while only increasing retiree healthcare by 2%. It is ridiculous!

Anyone who believes the company was offering a forty percent raise should wake up, and be happy with your four percent.

I'm in wireless management and we don't get anything but a link to Via Benefits. Who knows, that might be better than retiree healthcare plans!

Why do people who live in government subsidized housing have more disposable income than a verizon worker?

They get free internet too

It’s like talking to a brick wall. Ask your parents or a financial advisor, what they would rather have, healthcare when they retire or a bigger raise now. You are not doing yourself any favors.

It doesn’t matter when you were hired, Verizon provides all of us healthcare in retirement. If you want a bigger raise and no healthcare in retirement, because you think you are sticking it to the older workers, you’re sh00ting yourself in the foot.

A lot of you id--ts don’t realize the new hires will not be fighting for anybody from this point on healthcare You are living in a dreamworld, especially what the union clause that’s in place for them we need to take what we can take and keep it moving. If you don’t get your finances in order from this point on this company can care less about all who has built them up they never had any intentions of keeping wireline they would’ve sold us off in a heartbeat now that they’re stuck with us. We gotta make the best of it and hold the union accountable because we all know they are making deals on their own for the golden parachute and leave us in a helicopter crash.

Would love to know where these lies are coming from. Retiree healthcare is going up about 20% starting in January. Retirees and future retirees have been sc--wed
