Venkat's Town Hall was a joke. 4 minute speech that he read. Basically, regurgiating Cartwrights non-information, generic, corporate-speak. A big fat nothingburger.

The update to zoom took longer than the actual call lasted
Harshest deliverer of bad news ever.
What incentive is there at this point for anyone in GT to try and work with our GCC counterparts knowing that we may just be training our replacements?
Worst A_H. why that recorded vdo needs to be played?
An AI response would have had a more sense of humanity than this piece of Sh_iat Vankat.
Couldn't even pretend to give a f-k about people.
I am still thinking about just how horrible Venkat’s 4 minute waste of time was. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person with such a lack of empathy, charisma, or ability to read the room. He didn’t really even seem human.
There’s been some pretty well documented examples of horrible leaders delivering layoff news and I gotta say Venkat has to be near or at the top of that list now with Chris not too far behind.
I can only come to the conclusion that they don’t give a fu-k how they look. The board of directors hasn’t changed for 3 years and their first cuts are to the workers instead of looking in the mirror
Just rename the company TruStar, sell the global CRA data to China, move the nuestar toys to Pune and let Venkat run the entire company from a cushy Virginia suburb.
@eir+1pCgbNZz Well considering that the vast majority of his technical resources are offshore I’d say they probably have very little to worry about.
I’m still waiting to know which of the C-suite of execs are going to be let go. They have the highest salaries and biggest expenses, so they should be the first on the block. Cartwright makes over $10m a year, and Dane is being flown from Oklahoma to Chicago twice a week so they can say he’s following the return-to-office mandate (except the company is paying for his travel).
Make the first cuts at the top.
Is Venkat going to spare his fellow Neustar employees? Is he throwing the rest of TU Global Tech on the chopping block?
Did he specifically say global technology and data & analytics were the only ones affected? I’m wondering if anyone else is affected. Also if Neustar is affected or not.
Agree completely on sentiment about CTO. It still makes no sense to me how he was chosen over his TU counterparts following the Neustar acquisition. His town halls are essentially pep rallies for his pet projects, with all other hard work going completely unrecognized. A leader needs to be able to fake empathy at the least, how is this guy supposed to make anyone enthusiastic about anything.
Did anyone expect anything else? He’s basically a corporate drone. I don’t want to sound racist but that seems to be typical of how Indians operate. No empathy. No broad strategies. Just work everyone to death at the cheapest possible price.
Should we give him an:
A for effort,
B for reading skills,
F for reading comprehension?
