Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

• uh...... marketing lead, as a position, was eliminated probably over a year now. Replaced by the salaried Membership Representative Manager and if you have one of those? Oh man their bonuses are tied directly to performance and they’re gonna coach anyone that doesn’t preform out.

Also initial member specialist that started at $16 are now getting screwed as the ones hired now are getting $17. Man s—s to be a Member Team Lead now.

Restructure needs to come. HO needs to know who’s doing what in the club. I’m a Marketing Lead an I’m of tired being a MS PLUS EVERYTHING ELSE. On top of that I’m training Membership Specialist what is going on here.

They been Saying Membership Leads was going to be eliminated. I have been my position 6 yrs an everyone been saying saying. Membership Leads will be Eliminated like when???????? Tell me when.......I will wait

Membership Leads brings in the income by emailing. Sam’s Club is Membership Base Club. Why would they eliminate Membership Leads. Sam’s club is total Joke. Membership Specialist don’t know what’s going on at self-checkout or the POS Registers. I’m so Confuse like who the hell thought about that idea. I will wait.

I will gladly take . pay out if my job is eliminated, Marketing TL is being replaced by online offers, we all know that!! Time for new adventures, no worries 👋👋👋

: @eip+18lPb4jV YES! You are so right. We had one member specialist twerking at the exit door. Self check disappears. You find them in the break room, because it was their "time." They just walk off. Another associate follows her boyfriend around the store or he follows her, can't tell sometimes. I'm tired of dealing with these people. The old women, who use to work the door, never ever pulled this c-ap.

And the desk is a joke. So many mistakes up there. Giving money away. I mean how many times does it take to tell cashiers to not fall for the over-the-phone-home-office gift card scam. Then they cry, literal tears, saying they were never told, even though they signed the paper. HO needs to bring back desk associates.

Restructure coming soon Management and lead positions to be changed and some eliminated.

Does anyone even have a membership lead anymore? We haven’t had one for at least a year. They aren’t going to replace them because they know that position will eventually be gone.

why would they give a raise to a position that is about to be eliminated.

The majority of our membership specialists stand around acting like a MSS. Only one of them is out on the floor getting credits. The others are not doing their job. One of them refuses to go out on the floor with the IPad and sell credit, he thinks he is above it all. This position is a joke. Very unfair to give FT hours to people who do not deserve it. We were told that this position was to sell credit, push scan and go and not be used as MSS', well the opposite is happening. And one of them is a little snitch, throws her co-workers under the bus every chance she gets.
And don't even get me started on the training at membership for all the cashiers/self checkout peeps. The 18 year old act like they are in high school, giggling, screwing off when there are no members. And OMG the radio chatter is horrible, these people cannot wipe their butts without calling for help.

You’re right!!! I’ve been emailing like crazy on this promotion we have. I’m sick of it also. Told my husband it’s time to find something else.
