Can anyone explain what is so important in Cary that they have to post hybrid NOC roles requiring employees to be in Cary three days a week? Everyone knows NOC work can be done from home, or remotely from another office. So why are they only hiring in Cary? Is it to justify keeping the office open???

NOC work can also be done in India.
Meanwhile, the cafeteria probably won't survive the year.
It's because VZ has an office in Cary and so if they are hiring talent in that area they know they are required to be in the office, just like if it was Basking Ridge or Irving. Don't like it, don't apply.. no one is forced to apply or work for VZ.
The managers are trying to secure their positions. If the employees were remote, the managers could be too.
