This is already a disaster. People hired for at home positions having to cover stores. Good luck on getting your tasks done. Cut pay and hire these people with the money “saved” and the new hires are doing 100% of the store managers jobs, but at a higher rate. Clowns.

My staff left along with me so read between the lines and do your fu----g job..lol
@edw+1mu8totW: The stores have been bi--hing for months about the labor budget, lack of staff and training. SMs had no idea the bo-b drop in March... and the RMs had to sign an NDA. I don't know where you've actually been over the past year but quite a few new store managers were hired in the fall that weren't Follett employees and due to the labor cuts they didn't get any training. Now these same people are expected to run a store without their experienced staff. How the he-l does that get put back on SMs and RMs? You're not wrong with regards to lack of preparation from home office. Think about the people that they have running this company... Rejects from Sears, Kmart, Macy's, JC Penney, CVS. It's literally being set up to fail. 🤣
It is apparent that HR thought the magic would occur on 2May. If it took a year of secret meetings and labor slashing to get to whatever point they wanted it was poorly planned. The saddest part is upper mgmt, SM and RM did not do their job getting people ready.they should be extremely ashamed of their performance.
Corporate should have been the ones to come and help. The new hires are already starting out on the wrong foot, and they will probably stay behind or leave.
They have likely been planning this for over a year, so yes, it should have been a smoother transition, even in just one week.
No, the new hires (or people shot took on new roles) should not be blamed. Does that mean they won’t? No. Many more people will be fired after the end of the fiscal year.
