Quitting with no notice?

Hello, I’ve been here for a little over a month and really don’t want to stay. If I quit without a notice will that mark me as non rehire-able?

@hm Yeah I’m still learning it’s actually a contract that ends in August through a contractor but I just don’t really want to continue

Are you still in training? If so, they would probably not want you to serve out your 2 weeks' notice anyhow. Why continue training if you will not be doing the job ya know? You can offer it though.

@e6 I also don’t have any bills and I’m still very young in my career and I just realize I don’t want to do this industry or this role

Do it for the Vine.

(-: I’m kidding. Please only do this if you have something else lined up first.

You could always make up a family emergency and say you have to quit today due to having to leave the country or some made up sh-t. Figure it out. Sc--w a two weeks notice corporate or not

For your future work history and employers, it’s recommended you put in a two week notice. It would also be a good idea to discuss with your direct leader, but maybe you’re beyond that now. There’s a “resignation” button in myhr, you start the process there.

No one cares if you quit.

They wont think twice about letting you go. Horrible company who care nothing about their employees. Put yourself first and do what makes you feel better. There will be another job and you will not want to return to UHC.

@a8 true, it’s my first real corporate job so I just don’t want to hurt my future.

@a7 understandable. No sense in being somewhere & you’re not happy. This job is not worth your mental health.

@a6 my team seems nice but I just feel so depressed in the office and in this position.

Being on the non-rehirable list wouldn’t be a bad thing with this company. I’ll work at Walmart before coming back to UHC. I also plan to quit without a notice .

UHG won't give you notice when they "quit you", so you certainly have no moral obligation to give notice.

But, yea, you are likely going to end up on a list of folks that they won't rehire. ...is that a bad thing?
