Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

severance takers higher than expected?

Anybody have higher than expected severance takers and their department now understaffed or causing OT? I was surprised when some of the high performers, always meet metrices people left.

@e6 totally agree, I truly believe the ones on the team I left stayed since they know other places would actually make them work 😂. The mgr allowed them to get daily errors, no job in reality would keep ya on

I'm not surprised, I took it, when you're overworked, underpaid and mgr favors ones who get errors yet make ya with near perfect work to do pretty much all then it's time to go. She'd make you learn more stuff while those others can say no. Then you're left with a dream team you've favored 😂

I overheard someone on a call saying. Project had to be put on hold because 75% of the team took the buyout.

Nuggets like that are why I like going into the office.

I considered myself a top performer with metrics always high and I left because I knew it was going to get worse and it was time to go. I had been there for 15 years. Now I actually turned down offers and started a new job less than a month after the 5/1 exit.

some of the high performers who always meet metrics and go above and beyond left because of self respect, lack of professionalism and micromanagement from supervisors trying to learn and know the job rather than asking for insight.

When you are a top performer or a senior employee some people including management feel inferior and jealous of your knowledge
So the top performers always first!!
19yrs down the drain from being belittled and disrespected by a new manager!! So I left!!! I have never felt better

Any self-respecting employee left there should leave voluntarily with their dignity. . Otherwise they risk being overworked only to then be disrespectfully laid off or terminated in a 25 second spiel as if the work you did meant nothing at all.

good help leaves the sinking ship first and knows if they offer a buyout take it since things only get worse in the future. Remember in the future they could just say get out and zero severance

Generally the quality employees are the ones who voluntarily leave since they have a better chance of landing employment.

The lesser employees know they're sc--wed if they leave and stay until being laid off.
