Is there a secret to being happy here? Because I have not yet figured it out.

What makes me happy is being reminded, whenever I read these messages, of why I chose to move on from the bank and how fortunate I am to now work alongside truly talented people.
@30m - LMAO. Yes it will definitely get worse. Truist will be Wells Fargo 2.0 soon ba-f. No more luxuries of a regional bank culture.
Just wait, it will get worse.
@306 - Well said. And these folks have bills to pay. They don't have the luxury of leaving as they rely on their paychecks and health insurance.
@fb Please refresh our collective memory, where is the door that leads to the office of "Anonymous?" Of course people are responsible for their individual happiness. But of course people are influenced by events and circumstances that are outside of their control. And of course you could argue that everyone that's unhappy can simply choose to leave. But sometimes when you give your all professionally to a work environment and you've put in years into that work environment and you've made personal and professional sacrifices in an attempt to be the best you can be in that work environment, having someone respond "If you don't like it here, just leave." is a huge slap in the face and certainly doesn't live up to the one team spirit we all allegedly are supposed to embrace here. Even if you want to argue the people on these boards are a small minority of your workforce, instead of dismissing their frustrations maybe use some of that wonderful empathy we're supposed to have as humans to dig into the WHY the frustrations are so strong instead of condemning them for having frustrations in the first place.
@fb totally agree. But the id--ts that now work for Truist are going to give you down votes because they want to have their safe spaces and their egos massaged every hour of every working day.
@f5 wrong; this is a forum to discuss layoffs; but since there are no layoffs, it’s devolved into a pity party that drags everyone down. Many of us are exhausted by it. I bring this up daily, and I know some of you recognize me because I ask the same question in the office: What are you doing to improve your situation? If the answer is nothing, then stop complaining and accept the reality you’ve chosen.
As for the accusations of stalking and harassment—those are serious words, and I don’t take them lightly. You are responsible for your own actions. If you’re confident in your claims, then show the same confidence face-to-face. My door is always open for mature, fact-based discussion.
@f4 we need a facepalm icon
@f0 Why are you on a message board telling people that? Shouldn't you be doing that in the office?
You aren't very bright, going to a vent/message board to tell everyone how unfit/wrong they all are. Your persistence to troll reveals several things; fear, guilt, and anger.
Not to mention that you and I both know you are just stalking and harassing a single person. You really are obsessed with Him.
@f0 You still haven't answered the questions.
@ex Clearly reading comprehension isn’t your thing, so I’ll make it simple: your happiness is your responsibility, not anyone else’s. Stop blaming others for your unhappiness.
@ej What do they need to take responsibility for? Who are you even talking to?
@e5 Careful—tell the truth in here and they’ll scream gaslighting or DARVO, because taking responsibility is the last thing most of these people are capable of.
Happiness is always your responsibility. No one and nothing can make you happy. If you can't find a way to be happy then go elsewhere, and/or get into therapy to figure out why.
Yes - The secret is that you must plant seeds of hope.
Yes.
@a7 I understand where you coming from. You have reasons. What I don't understand is why leadership and some managers do this.
My only moments of happiness in this cesspool involve time and resource wasting, withholding or providing only partial information, carrying an unapproachable demeanor, or otherwise acting against Truist interests.
