Evidently tomorrow will be a sad day for a number of people across the company. My best wishes to anyone affected

Being laid off at this point would be a relief. I’d rather eat Ramen noodles then put up with the toxic and abusive nature of this company
Boy I feel so motivated to work hard today, don't you?!? Everyone likes waking up to a hostile, unsupportive workplace, with the constant threat of cuts and abuse. So inspiring.

@fqu+17ChQKxP Is true. C.S. targets span of control first so layers go down and bigger teams. Next move is to ask former managers who make more than coworkers (formerly direct reports) to take pay cuts or be displaced. Performance cuts can come at any time but span of control is the focal point now with former team leads fast on their heels.

@duw
You're just a troll and a GD fool. If you actually work at Wells, you are showing how low down the food chain you live. Everyone inside the bank and paying attention knows this was a date announced back in August or September.
Fake news, chumps.
Span of control discussions impacted a lot of tomorrow’s layoffs. Too early for layoff discussions due to performance.
trolling
Management is always in the loop. My manager at another company fought hard to keep me but the higher ups who did not know what I did said that I must go. And so I am here.
@ifd
Obviously not, as the questions you asked are common knowledge.
I think these Layoffs are tied to span of control. Some managers will be changed to individual contributors and others will get notices.
@hds I absolutely work here, I am not low on the food chain, and.....pay attention to what? Pay attention to people on this site regurgitating information that we have all been inundated with for months, adding zero new information of value? Yes, I'm paying attention to that.
@ifd. Thank you. Look at my team we all have pretty much the same skills and experiences. We all can do each other works. If someone is better or worse than others it is not that much. If some of us get laid off it is almost like drawing names from a hat.
Dear OP,
If I get layed off it will be a day of joy and celebration.
Thank you,
Signed,
Thousdands of us
@dkq
It's my understanding managers receive a list of those in scope. They're able to have some say, but not the final decision.
@vwu
You either don't work here, aren't paying attention, or way down on the food chain.
Tsk, any and all areas and divisions.
@mpc. Thank you
There are some cities that are closing out roles to centralize areas of the business in one location. When you say that someone is less experienced for mentioning locations, are you expecting to insert foot in mouth just after you judgmental j off
The managers know.
No one is getting laid off tomorrow without their manager already being aware of it
Cities are mentioned bc internal employees pack up desks. Thanks!
Do managers know who's on his team being laid off by now? How do they decide? From mid year rating or from managers feedback/suggestion?
Why do people keep mentioning cities in these questions? The way Wells is configured, there is no Charlotte or Chandler or Minneapolis LOB, it’s distributed. I don’t think these are people who have any experience with the company.
10/27 is the worst kept secret at this point.
Heard it from a lot of internal sources as well as on this forum.
Good luck for tomorrow everyone.
What areas?
Yes what areas and office sites? Mostly Des Moines, CA, Charlotte, etc?
What areas of the company?
Where is this confirmation coming from? Such a worthless post.
