The cheesy RTO slogan of 'we're better together' is weird. It's basically:
"We're better together, but no one knows the difference unless a report is run."
If we're really better together, it should be obvious on its face. A report shouldn't have to be run to show the supposed advantages.
It's like the old saying if a tree falls in the forest but no one is there to hear it, does it still make a sound? If someone is getting their work done without RTO, is there any detriment?
Will 2023 be the year that CS or SP grows a pair, and simply tells employees the REAL reason for the RTO push?
Probably not, but one can dream.
