I'm a Principal Engineer in NYC metro area...Base is over $180k

Are these just salary base amounts or base+bonus+stock options?

@am leak some info or at least confirm if that's correct info if you do have access to them

@ad no that's the outsourced and offshored resources that are cheap. H1Bs working in the states have the same salary ranges as everyone else. Interestingly, Vz doesn't really have that many H1Bs. They mostly offshore.

I have access to all salary ranges as part of my job. But honestly it’s useless to me. It just gave me bad morale as I’m underpaid for my job title/geo location.

Imagine going from making $190K plus including STI to making $40K in unemployment. Assuming you don’t find a job which will likely be the case in this economy!! Good luck everyone!!

@aa This is all I needed to see, to know that this "report" is extremely swayed and not accurate. There is absolutely no way someone with the same amount of years would be making more in Texas and in Florida than in California (Where the pay is the best aside from NY due to cost of living). The ONLY way this would be accurate is if the ones in FL and TX have 30 years of experience and the one in San Diego just graduated last week.
