Thread regarding SAP layoffs

Experience is a liability

Remember when SAP used to care about keeping the best talent? When people who are experienced and good at what they do would get a counteroffer if they submitted their notice? Today, the best people are the most worried ones because the higher the pay, the higher the chance of being laid off. Talk about a 180.

@dhx+1s34z1Ka Eh... I don't know about that. I mean, if you got to go to Walldorf and have dinner at La Tortuga... that's definitely something!

Who really fills out the surveys honestly? They say, your answers will be confidential. Anyone really believe that?

So true. I spent seven years in NA professional services sales, and experience of the team was a major component of value prop in competing against GSI and niche partners. Not sure experience can honestly be included in value prop any longer.

“ The leaderboard should be fired before any of the employees should even worry about anything. This is leaderships’s fault and they should have resigned gracefully.”

They should … but … why would they do this ? Their salaries are increasing - bonuses - stock at ATH - record profits - every survey 83% are proud of working at SAP

Well, not so different of what he is doing now.

It is interesting because if a company falls off the rails that’s actually the fault of the leadership. Workers do what you told them to do. If you can’t afford your employees anymore, then you, the leader, and the leaderboard must have done something wrong. In that case, logically, how is that the fault of the employee. The leaderboard should be fired before any of the employees should even worry about anything. This is leaderships’s fault and they should have resigned gracefully.
