Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

What is the highest commission check you have made since team commish started ? ( reps only )

The highest one we made was 1500 but most are 800-1100. Since team commission we have also only made quota ( new lines and sales dollars ) 3 times. Virtually everything we do sales wise never contributes to our commission checks. I’ve told this to several family and friends who are in sales and they are awestruck by our pay plan.

The problem to all this is Haans. Ever since he became CEO everything changed. Let’s get him out of here

We have made around $1100 at the highest. I literally quit trying at all 3 months ago and check have went down $100-200 tops.

Everyone hates their job now.

Well, my YTD commission is what I use to make in 3 months.

I will add. I was much less angry about one team until they upped the bar on RIS.

Our DM leaves the house but only to stand in a corner of a store and stare at their phone for an hour then leaves. I sware they just stare at metrics on their phone all day.

Must be nice showing up to a store once a week, nit picking something trivial and scolding people on blue jeans making 100k easy a year. 5 reps > 1 DM. There are still some DMs and Directors that haven't left the house since March 2020.

Your DMs commission target is over $3600 a month and the director is over $6000. Yeah they still care about sales :)

If you have tenure when has the pay out ever changed for the better? Not once, they always shifted the goal post and it got worse every change. Individual will never come back, it's only going to get worse. We are for sure riding this though the rest of the year.

  1. 5 ris
  2. 3 sales

just multiply that by your at risk to keep things more relative

this was back to back for 3 months once we started going back to normal. since then, it has been maybe 1.25 ris and 1.0 for sales

leadership needs to wake the fu-k up and build a comp plan meant to incentivize performance, not mediocrity. I can do absolutely the bare minimum, and just make sure my surveys are on point and we are golden.

Commissions need to go back to an individual perspective or start factoring total contribution as a slice of the pie that gets paid out to the reps. sick and tired of seeing sh-t reps spend an hour plus w a customer to skirt numbers while everyone else makes an effort to do work.

individual comp plan with targets based on company needs and defined payouts to reflect that. And leave surveys at the individual level instead of team. let the surveys speak for themselves.

@tbi+1dhUe99P “For the reps in stores to have the same expectations as someone working in telesales is a travesty.” This is probably one of the best points I have ever seen on here. To add to your point ...in addition to being sales people we are customer service , billing , tech support ,business account representatives and the list goes on. The stress is immense and being understaffed adds to that. For Verizon not to recognize all these challenges is what you call ...a travesty. Thanks for your feedback on here.

We used to make 1200-1300 before they made ris 96+. Now we don’t clear more than 1000. I’ve hit 60 plus new while others are at 15. Yet we have the same pay. ✌️

For the reps in stores to have the same expectations as someone working in telesales is a travesty. I don’t care how much per hour anyone is making. The current team commission plan is a bad formula that is obviously not working. Unfortunately whatever change is coming there will be even more pressure to sell to probably make even less.

@dhc+1dhUe99P I get your point however clerks at Best Buy and Walmart are surely not making 25.00 + hourly and 65k yearly when you add in that commission monthly bonus. We are expected to pretend to be salespeople with no incentive. Do I agree with it ? No !

Facts!! This is not a sales job and when the DMs and Directors get that through their stupid beady minds, this job would be easier if these nimrods stop pushing numbers and metrics

They are struck because THIS IS NOT A SALES JOB. Its a retail job, no difference between you and a Walmart clerk or a blue shirt at best buy
